WWW Wednesday — 10 April 2024
*squeals* Umm, this week was a WEEK of reading. Like, just absolute bliss, if I can be honest. Both books were AH-MAZING!! And, I ticked off two of my book club reads, a 12 in 12 read, AND an anticipated read for 2024.
(In fact, the only thing that sucked this week was jetpack taking away my “copy post” function which means I am now building all of my posts from scratch every single time, which means everything is taking 18 times longer than it should and I am hating my life. Oh, and my DCMA widget is breaking my website. Honestly, just rude.)

The only thing this book was missing was a bloody epilogue!! Where is my future glimpse HEA?!!
Whhhyyyyyy am I reading so many books at once?? It literally makes no sense. And yet…
As you can see, I still have not learned my lesson from weeks past. I am however making more gains in Heartless Sky (the Zodiac Academy book). I think I’m up to maybe 40%-ish now? Hoping to finish that on the weekend at any rate. (Alice Oseman weirdly not gripping me yet…)
Honestly, while I’d love to say that I will absolutely just smash all of the above out and not start anything new, we all know that’s a terrible lie. So, I’m going to aim for finishing Heartless Sky, and then starting on Sorrow and Starlight. THEN, I will hopefully be on my way to finishing the Zodiac Academy series. Which, to be honest, I’d really like to tick off by the time we hit mid-year.
I would also like to get in some more of my reading project books. Strange the Dreamer is probably my biggest hurdle at the moment because I have a brain block where it’s concerned. I think it’s partly because I loved Daughter of Smoke and Bone SO MUCH that I’m basically terrified to read this. But, it’s the Discord book of the month (and I think I nominated it…) so I really do need to knuckle down.

I’m currently reading God of Fury by Rina Kent, Grr! by Zeta Star and Dante by Sadie Kincaid. How are you liking Elise Kova book? I still need to read the vampire one.

I am far less interested in the siren one than I was any of the others. The vampire one was ok, but the first two were the best. They’re all feeling a bit samesie…

I have the vampire one in kindle but have I even started it yet? Nope. I think the second book was just OK to me so I haven’t been properly motivated yet.
