WWW Wednesday – 12 Dec 2018

Good morning bookworms!

Welcome to this week’s WWW Wednesday! What is this, you ask? Well, it’s a weekly meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words. All you have to do is answer the three following questions:

  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

So, without further ado, let’s get started!

What I recently finished reading…

Ha! After skiting last week about having read 5 books in a week, I am back to my normal pace of only finishing 1 book this week. Buuuut, I only have three days (counting today) left of work this year, and then I AM ON SUMMER HOLIDAYS!! They’re not actually called summer holidays anymore (because I am a grown-up with a job), but each year I always try and take some time off to enjoy summer and recharge. And this year I am taking SIX WEEKS OFF WORK. Yup, that’s a lot even for me. And I am gonna read so many books! (And pack my house, but you know, primarily READING TIME! Don’t tell my husband I said that…) Oh yeah, I finished a book…

  • Silence by Becca Fitzpatrick

What I am currently reading…

  • Finale by Becca Fitzpatrick
  • Ilahara: The Last Myrassar by C. M. Karys

I am part-way through (and losing all motivation to read) the end of the Hush, hush series. I’ll tell you more in my review when I get to it, but this series feels like a mash up of Twilight and the Fallen series (and I need to find out which one was published first). But yes, I want to finish it, but it’s also putting me in a SLUMP.

I am also re-reading that amazing beta I mentioned a couple of months ago, as it’s undergone a few edits. Also, I think I can tell you some more about it because I’ve seen some of the other betas saying things about it on Instagram… You may know C. M. Karys on Instagram as two of the most lovely Italian sisters you’ll ever meet: @harleyisreading and @_mauy. They are just some of the most talented peeps I have never met, but feel privileged to call friends. This book is pure gold and I cannot wait until they are published and everyone can gush over it. It’s got magic and dragons and such amazing characters – it is literally epic. Also, the artwork on the beta cover is by Gabriella Bujdoso.

What I think I’ll read next…

I definitely won’t be reading anything with angels in it for a while (so there goes my plans to read the Dark Artifices). In fact, I might even go fully back to contemporary for a while. But whatever I decide I would like to read a Christmas-type book (which I never do), so this is back on, which will put me back on my original TBR! YAY!
