March ’20 book haul

Good morning bookworms!!

It’s time for the monthly book haul!! Also… cast your mind back to the start of the year when I said I wanted to keep my hauls under 10 books per month? cough Ummm… you see, that really didn’t happen last month. I think I went crazy. I’m not even sure what happened. Maybe it was like an out of body experience?

As per the new prettiness of the blog, book haul categories are as follows:

• book boxes
• book purchases (book mail, in-store, digital* and gifts)
• review copies (book mail and digital), and

* Not counting Kindle Unlimited

I subscribe to three monthly boxes: OwlCrate, FairyLoot and the book-only subscription for LitJoy. In March I skipped all LitJoy and OwlCrate, but the FairyLoot box didn’t arrive (I don’t even think it’s been sent yet?) However, I did get the FairyLoot and LitJoy books from February!

• FairyLoot’s February theme was Rulebreakers, and the book was The Shadows Between Us by Tricia Levenseller
• LitJoy’s February theme was Once Upon a Retelling, and the book was Night Spinner by Addie Thorley

Both of these match the first book in each series that I had previously received in a book box.

This is where I need to come in and be all “It has been four months since my last confession. I went second hand book shopping with a friend, and then I started stockpiling… oops?!” But in all seriousness, I don’t know how long I’m going to be in quarantine for, as I am immunosuppressed… so… at least I’ll have lots of options!!
