August 2020 book haul
Good morning bookworms!! It’s time for the August 2020 book haul!!
August was… surprisingly ok-ish. The thing that tips me over was my enormously huge graphic novel order, as it all came at once… But we will get to that soon!!

I subscribe to three monthly boxes: OwlCrate, FairyLoot and the book-only subscription for LitJoy. International shipping is still an absolute shit show… but it is getting better. So, here is where I stand with boxes that arrived in August:
- FairyLoot special edition of The Damned by Renee Ahdieh ARRIVED!
- June FairyLoot ARRIVED! (This is always a month behind everyone else…) FairyLoot’s June theme was A Different Kind of Magic, and the books (yes, plural) were Forest of Souls by Lori M. Lee and The Gilded Ones by Namina Forna
- July LitJoy ARRIVED! LitJoy’s July theme was As You Wish, and the book was The Princess Will Save You by Sarah Henning
- July OwlCrate ARRIVED! OwlCrate’s July theme was Date with Destiny, and the book was Goddess in the Machine by Lora Beth Johnson
LOTS of gift-voucher and birthday money being spent here!! I think I still have a couple more books that were pre-ordered to come in, but they should all be here by… October?
Also, I’m so proud of myself for actually reading a bunch of these already!! Yes, even if three of them are graphic novels and one is a novella.

The Gilded Ones sounds amazing!! That cover though!!!! Goddess in the Machine is also very high on my TBR! That cover to Julia Kagawas book is GORGEOUS!!! I loved that series so, so much.
