Friends, I went back to work. Yes, after almost a MONTH off sick, I finally returned. However, my asthma is off the charts and driving me mad so I’m easing my way back into it. SLOWLY. I’m supposed to travel overseas for work in 3 weeks… but we’ll see how that goes.
Before I went back to work, I read some more books. Huzzah!!
I read the September Bookish Chaos Discord server’s monthly book club pick. Then I read a 24 in 24 challenge book because I felt like I could do a fantasy again (finally)!! Then I read another September TBR book, and finally my other book club pick for the Romance Revelry Society. Look at me finishing my book club reads ahead of time!! Who even am I?!

A YA fake-dating rom com with a viral writer and a C-Drama star. This book really could have leant more into the emotional / drama parts, but it was very cute.

I have had this on my bookshelf for far too long without reading it. And I have the next two books. I love Death as a character (but it was weird he wasn’t like the Discworld’s Death). Looking forward to Foxglove!!

I like an accidental pregnancy trope, but this wasn’t great. I don’t think they dealt with the emotional trauma well. Just swept it under the rug.

I’m really getting into historical romances again, and I’m so delighted this was great. I love the accurate pieces woven into the story so much. Could have been 30 pages shorter though.
I’m not reading anything right now as I finished The Siren of Sussex just before midnight last night. I need to decide what to pick up next though…
Annoyingly, and despite having read 19 books this month, I still have only read 5 of the 12 books on my September TBR. Which means I have 5 days left to read the other 7. Which will definitely not be happening.
So, here’s the four books that I might actually read that are left on it.

I have the hard copies for all three now so really want to finish it… but also I need to read like 30 challenge books to finish out 2024 😂
