April 2024 TBR
Hello friends!! Welcome to the April 2024 TBR. A post where I will attempt to intuit what I feel like reading for the month of April.
AJDNFBDJFSKNAJKBCH… How in the world is it almost April already?? Honestly I think this year just needs to calm down. Also, this means that I really need to write up my quarterly check ins and a bunch of other posts… Maybe it’s a long weekend job… Maybe I can get my cats to help??

But, we aren’t here to discuss my (lack of) blogging. We’re here to figure out which bloody books I’m going to read this month. AND, I will remember to add in Fictionally Sam’s Bookish Chaos Discord book club pick (and my other buddy reads I agreed to do) this time. You know, as opposed to March… Although, I did read the book, so that’s a win!! Even if it wasn’t on my TBR…
So, with all of the buddy reads that I am terrible at doing, let’s build a TBR for April 2024.

April 2024 TBR
In March, I decided to try a little experiment. I pulled all of the physical books from my TBR into a little stack and kept it on my desk. It was a good reminder that I a) had a planned list of books for the month, and b) I should read from THAT pile before doom-scrolling through my kindle app or the kindle store. And it kind of worked, which was really nice! Like, I didn’t read all of them, and I definitely read outside of the list, but I did make progress.
So, my plan for April is to do the same thing. I’ll make a nice little stack of books and then side-eye it for two weeks while reading trash on my kindle. And THEN I will delve into it. A good plan.
I have also signed up for buddy reads, as mentioned above, so some books have already been picked for me. And I am 100% relying on others to motivate me to read them. (Good luck to Sam, Ruby, DB and Jamsu… and me too, I guess!)
Also, I would like to tick off more of my 2024 challenge reads if I can… I did buy stickers to put in my planner for when I read a book I said I would — sticker motivation is key over here. And, I’d ideally like a good mix of fantasy and romance/contemporary. Even though I seem to be reading more of the latter, I continue to fill my physical shelves with an outrageous amount of fantasy books.
Covers should be Goodreads links. Hopefully.

What is on your April 2024 TBR?

Testing comment because I think something’s up with your blog (hopefully not)
Never Ever Getting back together was cute! V fun, enjoyable weekend read. Or a beach/vacation read.
Not me thinking “oh you’ve got like 3 of the reads I’m also doing on your TBR” HELLO OF COURSE

Hahaha, the buddy read, without actually buddy reading!! I still need to get to Strange the Dreamer, but I’ve started it so many times without getting further than the first chapter, I genuinely think I might be scared of it… (also, I just LOVED Daughter of Smoke and Bone so much, and what if I hate this?!!)
