WWW Wednesday – 7 August 2019

Good morning bookworms!

Welcome to this week’s WWW Wednesday! What is this, you ask? Well, it’s a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words. All you have to do is answer the three following questions:

  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

So, without further ado, let’s get started!

This month starts us off with ARC August and I have actually started reading some (*cough* one) of the books I have received! HUZZAH!

Key: ? physical book | ? ebook | ? audiobook | ? webcomic

  • Bloodlines – Richelle Mead ?
  • The Bride Test – Helen Hoang (thanks Allen and Unwin) ?

I am still reading (or not reading as the case may be, because let’s face it, not a lot of these have moved for a while…) 7 million books. I also started another ARC last night, so there is some movement at the top end from last week…

Key: ? physical book | ? ebook | ? audiobook | ? webcomic | ? TBR for ARC August

  • ? She’s Got Game – Laura Heffernan (thanks Netgalley) ? – uhh? I legit started this last night
  • Siege and Storm – Leigh Bardugo ? – 13%
  • ? The Gamer’s Guide to Getting the Girl – Kristine Scarrow (thanks Netgalley) ? – 5%
  • ? StepSister – Jennifer Donnelly (thanks Hotkey) ? – 22%
  • Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine – Gail Honeyman ? – 2%
  • ? DEV1AT3 – Jay Kristoff (thanks Jay) ? – 32%
  • The Falconer – Elizabeth May ? – 7%
  • Ace of Shades – Amanda Foody ? – 11%
  • Stormdancer – Jay Kristoff ? – 21%

    Enjoy your reading!
I’m currently reading an arc of the woods and listening to the dragons of Nova!

I loved Ace of Shades, and I can’t wait to start DEV1AT3 (phew, that is always a chore to write)! I also have an ARC of Stepsister, so I’m looking forward to hearing your thoughts on that one. Happy reading, Meeghan!

  • Isabelle @ BookwyrmBites

ayyyyyyyyy you finished The Bride Test!! *snoops on GR to see if you liked it*
Mooncakes is a great read, and a pretty quick one since it’s a graphic novel! I was a little ambivalent about Eclipse the Skies, it hit a lot of emotional notes but some parts almost seemed to contradict what was set up in Ignite the Stars … though Maura Milan has said she’s made “somewhat big revisions” so I’m excited for the final version ?
also! idk if you know, a bunch of us are doing a BR of Shadow Frost starting Sep 1, and you’re totally welcome to join us in the BC channel ?

Well I am in for the BR!! I’ve been slack and haven’t been on Discord for about a week… it’s been a long ?afk ? (although tbh it’s been more Stardew Valley than ?…)
My plan is to finish Gamer’s Guide this week and then read Mooncakes!!

And I thought I’m reading many books at the same time but darn you have even more going on there! How can you keep up with all of them without getting confused?

  • J.R. @ Eternity Books

I am actually terrified of your list of currently reading and to-read. It’s so so long!! I’d have given up by now lol. And I 100% am sending you good luck vibes so that you can make a dent in all your books!! Good luck ??
