WWW Wednesday – 6 January 2021

Hello book friends!! Welcome to this week’s WWW Wednesday, of 6 January 2021!!

Yes, I know. I abandoned this in September last year, and always meant to come back. But there was never enough time in my week. However, this all stops in 2021. I am making time!! (Except for all those wrap up and goals posts I haven’t done yet…)

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words (to be updated when Sam posts), where you answer the three following questions:

  • What did you recently finish?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • And, what do you think you’ll read next?

So, given it’s a new year (and it’s been several months since I last participated), let’s just start afresh as of 1 January 2021.

what i finished

Crush by Tracy WolffAs of last night, I finished my very first book of 2021. Yes, I’m quite proud. I’m also impressed with myself because it is a whopping 684, which is bigger than anything I read last year by almost 100 pages. So, well done me.

Crush by Tracy Wolff is the second book in the Crave series. The series is basically Twilight x ACOTAR, but with no sex. (A wholesome yet dramatic vampire story… I know, who would have thought?!) But gosh darn are there some cliffhangers. Covet (book 3) doesn’t come out until March 2021 and I am regretting all of my life decisions that have led me to this point.

The Left-Handed Booksellers of London by Garth NixI REALLY need to finish some of the other books that I started last year and put to the side for shiny things. The top 2 on this list are:

  • The Left-Handed Booksellers of London by Garth Nix
  • Kingdom of Sea and Stone by Mara Rutherford

These are both review books that I was given in 2020 and desperately need to read and review!!

what's up next

The World Between Blinks by Amie Kaufman and Ryan GraudinSpeaking of review books, I got the new and shiny ARC for Amie Kaufman and Ryan Graudin’s new middle grade series in the mail the other day. So I will DEFINITELY be reading The World Between Blinks soon!! The picture to the right is the AUS/NZ cover. The US cover is more different that I was expecting.

From my backlist, I also really need to start on either The Land of Stories books by Chris Colfer, OR The Iron Fey series by Julie Kagawa. I’m going to put a poll on Instagram later this month, so please vote and help me decide!!

What are you currently reading??

until next time, happy reading! Meeghan xo
