WWW Wednesday – 29 May 2019
Good morning bookworms!
Welcome to this week’s WWW Wednesday! What is this, you ask? Well, it’s a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words. All you have to do is answer the three following questions:
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What are you currently reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
So, without further ado, let’s get started!
What I recently finished reading…
I may have broken my slump-ish? But I’m still not reading fantasy, so I guess I’ll just keep reading contemporaries?! ? It’s also possible that after finally succumbing to Shanah @ The Bionic Bookworm screaming about these books that they were just so good (in an immensely cheesy yet satisfyingly adorable way).
- At the Stroke of Midnight – Tara Sivec
- In Bed with the Beast – Tara Sivec
- Kiss the Girl – Tara Sivec
What I am currently reading…
I am still reading StepSister. I did make progress on it this week! And then I started reading a lot of enemies to lovers / romance / contemporary books.
- StepSister – Jennifer Donnelly
- The Hating Game – Sally Thorne
What I think I’ll read next…
I keep saying that I’m going to focus on review copies for the rest of this month, but let’s be honest, I’m a mood reader. And for that reason I should never request books!! Here are some books that I might try to read, if I finish the above ones / these are the books I currently have floating around my house if I decide to keep ignoring review books…
- We Are Blood and Thunder – Kesia Lupo (Bloomsbury)
- Darkwood – Gabby Hutchinson Crouch (Netgalley)
- The Gamer’s Guide to Getting the Girl – Kristine Scarrow (Netgalley) – this one’s not out until July, but it’s being archived on 31 May… ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
- The Girl with the Whispering Shadow – D. E. Night
- Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine – Gail Honeyman
- The Near Witch – Victoria Schwab
- Songs About a Girl – Chris Russell
- The Falconer – Elizabeth May
- Aurora Rising – Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff
- DEV1AT3 – Jay Kristoff
- We Hunt the Flame – Hafsah Faizal
- Shadow and Bone – Leigh Bardugo
- 99 Percent Mine – Sally Thorne
- Private Princess – James Patterson
- The Red Scrolls of Magic – Cassandra Clare
Or, you know, there’s always Kindle Unlimited ?
Until next time, happy reading! ??

Thanks Kay!! I will finish it soon, but I have loved what I have read! (Chance is secretly the best thing ever.)

I’m not super into romance, but these books are super pretty and I adore how they look next to each other, haha. almost makes me want to pick them up, because I am a sucker for an appealing cover.
and dang, that is a lot of options to read next, though on the plus side you’ll probably find something to fit whatever mood you find yourself in. hopefully ?

I’m not really a romance reader either. I’m usually far more into stabbing and magic and war. But, I think I’ve just needed a change from the dark and heavy lately to the brighter, but still deep. The Naughty Princess Club books are cheesy and sweet, but also explore real issues around domestic abuse and self-confidence. I genuinely cried in the first and third books. They were really well done and the cheese was good cheese?! ?
