Hello friends!! Welcome to this week’s WWW Wednesday — 26 June 2024!!
WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words, where you answer the three following questions:
What did you recently finish?
What are you currently reading?
And, what do you think you’ll read next?
Let’s see what I have been reading… (All images will link to Goodreads if you click on them. Potentially.)

Um… continuing from last week, I have been reading the Under the Oak Tree series by Suji Kim. Although, I have not made as much progress as I would have liked. Sadly. Mostly because I’ve been spending long days (and evenings) at the office getting ready for end of financial year… It’s also why I haven’t been posting on my usual dates. I was planning to be in Fiji taking a break from frosty mornings, but that hasn’t happened either… (And that’s more devastating, rather than sad.)
Title: Under the Oak Tree (S2 B3)
Author: Suji Kim
Series: Under the Oak Tree #9
Released: 20 Nov 2023
Read: June 2024
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
So many emotions!! I don’t want this series to end, but I’m glad Maxi is learning things, like standing up for herself. The slow burn might be killing me though.
Hello… umm… I am now reading the second last Under the Oak Tree book. It’s actually quite hard to tell them apart for a few reasons. Primarily the covers look the same except the number in the bottom right, and they’re all called Under the Oak Tree season X book X. But also the story reads like it’s just broken up by chapters.
With long fantasy books there’s really like a defining moment in each book. Like, you can tell which ACOTAR book someone is reading by a general update the reader gives you.
I’ve got nothing for these. I couldn’t even tell you which book I’m reading half the time. That’s a real downside for these books. But I still enjoy them. (As you can see, I have nothing really further to say on this…)
I am borderline hysterical that I still haven’t started A Fate Inked in Blood. Like, book club chat day is in two days. TWO DAYS. I don’t know how Sam does this every month.
I definitely won’t be finishing Under the Oak Tree before I start this. I don’t even think I’ll finish the current book before starting this. I need to stop half-drafting posts and just run off and read it.
Oh, I might be saved. Book club day crosses into Saturday so I guess I technically have 2.5 days. Maybe I’ll start reading this tonight.
I certainly won’t be starting anything else in June until I have read this, anyway.

What are you currently reading?
