Hello friends!! Welcome to this week’s WWW Wednesday — 23 October 2024!!
WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words, where you answer the three following questions:
What did you recently finish?
What are you currently reading?
And, what do you think you’ll read next?
Let’s see what I have been reading… (All images will link to Goodreads if you click on them. Potentially.)

WWW Wednesday — 23 October 2024
This week’s post is a sadly empty post. But it’s really only sad because even thugh I spent a bunch of time in airports, on planes and in hotels, I didn’t do anywhere near as much reading as I expected. And that was primarily because of the time dfference.
When I was in the hotel with time, it was working hours back home in Canberra. Which meant that I really just worked more hours in a day than I normally would. And for the first time in my life, I actually slept on planes. I think I was just so exhausted.
I mean, I did watch one movie — The Fall Guy. And it was pretty good. Not like cinematically, but as a dumb action flick with some great lines, a side of romance it was fine. It ticked all the boxes it needed to. Oh, and I spent the weekend with family and then doing laundry.
And, all of that isn’t to say that I did no reading. I did do some. I took my reading of Blitz by Daniel O’Malley from 25% (last week’s update) all the way to 62%.
Which is great, because it meant that I got past the sticky world-building dump section. And the book got much better after that. But I am telling you, that letter in the book somewhere around chapter 5 could have been half the length and it still would have been too long. It’s possibly going to make the book lose a whole star.
And I’m kind of mad about that because this series is so good and did not deserve that.
Anyway, the book is back to it’s action packed, fast paced, normal-ness now, so I expect I’l finish it quickly now. You know, once I sit down to actually read it.
I can confirm that when I got home I did find The Sinister Booksellers of Bath by Garth Nix. And it does have a bookmark in it, around the 25% mark. Which is great.
However, I will be reading Wolfsong by TJ Klune next because it’s the Romance Revelry Society’s book club pick for October. And book club day is 27 October. Which is this coming Sunday. So I really need to get a wriggle on.
But after that I will go back to the Booksellers. Or something else on my TBR for October or 2024 challenges. Maybe I’ll finally read Harrow Lake by Kat Ellis…
