WWW Wednesday — 21 August 2024

So, remember how last week I was all (direct quote): what’s up next? NOTHING!! I just need to concentrate on The Priory of the Orange Tree!! I must finish it this month!!

Yeah… That was a time. I’m not even sure I actually read any of League or Priory this week. Apparently I needed a fantasy break. So I read some romance and… horror. You know, for all of those horror books that I read all the time. (Who even am I right now?)

In fact, I’d say that I read horror books about as frequently as I read non-fiction. Which is never. Actually, I read non-fiction for work, so I definitely read that more often. But wow. I can’t even remember the last time I read a horror book. They’re not really my jam. At all. And a horror graphic novel is a like an extra step too because it gives you the images to go with it. Ellis’ art is not terrifying though, so that’s nice.

I really like Ellis, and his art. He has a great way of telling stories, but horror is not for me. I guess they were almost urban legend type short stories.

This was fine, but also completely forgettable. Weirdly, the premise could have made this a horror book… the sibling thing wasn’t really explored.

Honestly, I don’t really have anything to say here… Except:

I WILL finish something one of these next week. Best case scenario is that I finish BOTH of these books.

But that’s also highly unlikely because the next Disney Dreamlight Valley update comes out as well, so we all know what I’ll be doing instead of reading The Priory of the Orange Tree or The League of Gentlewomen Witches…

I am literally not allowing myself to start anything new until I finish both, League and Priory.
