WWW Wednesday – 20 Feb 2018

Good morning bookworms!

Welcome to this week’s WWW Wednesday! What is this, you ask? Well, it’s a weekly meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words. All you have to do is answer the three following questions:

  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

So, without further ado, let’s get started!

What I recently finished reading…

OMG I seriously need to find out when the next Morrigan Crow book is coming out because Jessica Townsend is fast becoming one of my new fave Aussie authors.

  • Wundersmith: The Calling of Morrigan Crow by Jessica Townsend (buddy read ?‍♀️)

This week I also watched all 26 episodes of Ouran High School Host Club and then I fell down the rabbit hole of Netflix and started binge watching The Umbrella Academy. If you weren’t aware, I’m a huge emo/punk/alternative music lover. I LOVED My Chemical Romance and when they broke up () Gerard Way went on to write comic books. One of his comic book series got turned into The Umbrella Academy, so I am so in love with this show right now. I think I’m 5 episodes in. So, this didn’t really leave me much time for reading!
Oh, and I HAVE BLUE HAIR AGAIN!!!!!!! You have no idea how happy this makes me. (I’m a Ravenclaw through and through.)

What I am currently reading…
  • The Gilded Wolves by Roshani Chokshi

I am only about 20 pages in, and half of these I read last week so I’m kind of confused about what is happening. Also, Severin is a character in Holly Black’s The Modern Faerie Trilogy (Tithe, etc.) so this is not working in my head yet… My plan is to reread the first 20 pages and then get really stuck in.

What I think I’ll read next…

ARGH!! This is the same because I didn’t get through last week’s list! Plus the Discworld is back on the hot list…

  • Pyramids – Terry Pratchett
  • DEV1AT3 – Jay Kristoff (ARC)
  • Coraline – Neil Gaiman

The worst part is, I really want to read DEV1AT3 because when I got the book, I was talking to Jay and he said that he thought this book was BETTER than LIFEL1K3, so I’m really keen (and, as you’ll see in my upcoming review, LIFEL1K3 was not a 5-star read for me – sorry Jay!).

Happy reading! ??
