Hello friends!! Welcome to this week’s WWW Wednesday — 17 July 2024!!
WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words, where you answer the three following questions:
What did you recently finish?
What are you currently reading?
And, what do you think you’ll read next?
Let’s see what I have been reading… (All images will link to Goodreads if you click on them. Potentially.)

WWW Wednesday — 17 July 2024
So… remember last week when I was all “I’m going to continue reading The Priory of the Orange Tree“? Yeah, well, things didn’t go quite as planned.
Unfortunately we had some unexpected news last Wednesday, which ended in the passing of my mother in law yesterday. It’s been a really bad week, especially for my husband. And I think I stress cleaned the apartment from top to bottom, including going through wardrobes and throwing out clothes I’d been meaning to do for ages. And then when I did go to bed, it was to lie awake and stress some more.
Now, while I couldn’t concentrate on fantasy, I did manage to read some books. The lackluster ratings might have been more about my state of mind than the books themselves though.

Title: To Love Jason Thorn
Author: Ella Maise
Series: Love and Hate #1
Released: 3 Dec 2015
Read: July 2024
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was on my Kindle U borrowed pile for so long, and happens to be more older-brother’s-best-friend books… It was fine.

Title: You Beautiful Thing, You
Author: Saffron A. Kent
Series: Bad Boys of Bardstown #1
Released: 29 Oct 2023
Read: July 2024
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Kindle recommended this older-brother’s-rival which was an interesting turn of events… Drama reminded me of the early Pucked books.
I am still reading The Priory of the Orange Tree, but I think I’ve only moved an additional 20 pages forward from last week’s recap. (Now at 60 pages.)
Although one good thing to note is that Book Club decided to make Priory the July AND August book, so now I have more time to read it.
I haven’t started anything new, despite finishing You Beautiful Thing, You on Sunday. It’s just been a really heavy week.

I will probably pick up The Wisteria Society of Lady Scoundrels on the weekend. I believe the Romance Revelry Book Society book club chat is around 26 July-ish.
This one is a pretty short read though.
I might need a filter of something happier from my July 2024 TBR though.

What are you currently reading?
