WWW Wednesday — 17 January 2024

Hello bookworms!! Welcome to this week’s WWW Wednesday — 17 January 2024!!

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words (I have now checked, and can confirm that Sam still hosts this HUZZAH!), where you answer the three following questions:

  • What did you recently finish?

  • What are you currently reading?

  • And, what do you think you’ll read next?

Let’s see what I have been reading… (All images will link to Goodreads if you click on them. Potentially.)

WWW Wednesday 17 January 2024

Yes, yes, this is late again. This is my life now and I will embrace these very late posts. I have been drafting them as I go though, so everything in this is date appropriate.

Amazingly I am still mostly keeping to my January 2024 TBR… especially with finished books. Although, every single one has still been an absolute banger, and we have continued the run of 5 stars reads for 2024.

what i'm reading

So, this is where I admit that I HAVE fallen off the TBR wagon. But, it’s not my fault. It’s entirely Instagram’s fault. I had a quick scroll through Kindle Unlimited because someone posted something. And it’s also Jane @ incendio sketches‘ fault. The amazing Dramione art sent me back to AO3, and while it’s been a while, it’s also like coming home a little. And I’m not even remotely sorry.

what's up next

OK, so I’m heading to Singapore next week for work. And I’m in two minds about whether or not I take a physical book with me…

I DO have a million (slight exaggeration) books on my iPad. I have a bunch on my Kindle app, between purchased books and my Kindle Unlimited subscription. And I have a bunch on iBooks. (I’m not picky. If you sell me a digital book at the right price I’ll buy it from you.)

And honestly, I have a bunch of books that I am currently reading on my kindle app. There’s A Duet with the Siren Duke, whatever book I’m up to for Zodiac Academy, that awful JLA book which feels like the Hawke version of Midnight Sun. Just none that I’m DYING to finish.

However, Emily Wilde’s Map of the Otherlands by Heather Fawcett came out last week in Australia and I am planning to go get a copy this weekend. So, if I do decide to take a physical book, I will probably take this one…

Hmmmm… decisions, decisions!!
