WWW Wednesday – 16 November 2022

Hello bookworms!! Welcome to this week’s WWW Wednesday — 16 November 2022!!

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words, where you answer the three following questions:

  • What did you recently finish?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • And, what do you think you’ll read next?

Let’s see what I have been reading! (All images will link to Goodreads if you click on them!)

Yes, I can’t quite believe it’s been 2.5 months since I’ve done a WWW Wednesday either. But, here we are. Apologies in advance to Soph for my number of ‘currently reading’ books starting a million books and finishing… not enough of them. 😅

what i'm reading

I started reading all of these books this year, and the last 7 since August. Recently, I just keep picking up books, reading a little, and then starting another book. Sometimes they stick, but mostly I just keep picking up different ones… I might come back and read an extra chapter, but then I go back to something else. Format doesn’t seem to matter as I’m reading these across physical, ebook and audio editions.

The City of Zirdai by Maria V Snyder
The Battle of the Labyrinth by Rick Riordan
The Enchantress Returns by Chris Colfer
The Atlas Six by Olivie Blake
I Kissed Shara Wheeler by Casey McQuiston
Shadow of the Fox by Julie Kagawa
Shadowsong by S. Jae-Jones
Forestfall by Lyndall Clipstone
Kingdom of the Feared by Kerri Maniscalco
A Duel with the Vampire Lord by Elise Kova
The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater
Charm by Tracy Wolff

what's up next

Honestly?? I am absolutely going to ditch everything I am currently reading to start A Light in the Flame today (it came out yesterday).

Am I expecting it to be good? No.

Do I think I will enjoy it? Undetermined.

Are the titles a rip off of Tahir’s Ember in the Ashes? Look, I know my opinion.

Does the sigil look familiar? I assume you’re acquainted with The Witcher.

Am I absolutely obsessed with the trainwreck that is I-don’t-want-an-editor JLA? Entirely possible.

On the plus side, I am definitely enjoying the prequel series more than FBAA. Not that that is a significant achievement.

A Light in the Flame by Jennifer L. Armentrout
