WWW Wednesday – 15 January 2020
Good morning bookworms!
No… you’re not crazy. I am on the second day of a hiatus, and this is my second post since the announcement. However, I had mostly written this, as I didn’t post a WWW Wednesday on 8 January, so you’re getting this anyway. (I am FICKLE.)
WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words, where you answer the three following questions:
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What are you currently reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
Can I start off by saying that I read a grand total of 36 pages in the first week of January… Happy New Slump to me! (And that was 36 pages across two books 10 pages in one, 26 in the other.)
This last week has fared much better. Why? Because I am being lenient on myself. TBR SCHMEE-B-R. (Yeah… that doesn’t really work, does it…) Anyway, I read books this week, because what do I do in a slump? Well… usually I reread a fave, but this time I decided to smash some more romance. And gosh damn it, I read 2 books in 2 days, and then 2 more.
Key:
? physical book | ? ebook | ? audiobook | ? comic / graphic novel
⏰ ARC / Review copy | ?♀️ buddy read | ✳️ reread
? YARC | ❤️ Summer romance
- Pucked Up – Helena Hunting ? ❤️
- Pucked Over – Helena Hunting ? ❤️
- Forever Pucked – Helena Hunting ? ❤️
- Area 51 – Helena Hunting ? ❤️
Errrr… so this is where my confession begins. I keep picking up and putting down different books. Some days I’ll read a chapter or 5 here or there, and other days I’ll read nothing. It’s weird, and it’s extending my ‘currently reading’ list. By a lot. As you can see at the below screenshot, my ‘currently reading’ on Goodreads is just stupid at the moment.
Key:
? physical book | ? ebook | ? audiobook | ? comic / graphic novel
⏰ ARC / Review copy | ?♀️ buddy read | ✳️ reread
? Beat the Backlist | ? YARC | ❤️ Summer romance
- Red Glove – Holly Black ? ?♀️ ?
- The Night Country – Melissa Albert ? ⏰
- A Darker Shade of Magic – V. E. Schwab ? ?♀️ ?
- Siege and Storm – Leigh Bardugo ? ?
- Pucked Under – Helena Hunting ? ❤️
Firstly, I need to finish some of the above. If not all. That’s my goal. I’d like to say that I’ll continue with my TBR for the month, but in all honesty, I’ll probably finish the Pucked series…
What are you currently reading??

I hope you end up enjoying A Darker Shade of Magic trilogy a lot, it’s an incredible adventure and although the last book is a bit slow, I really enjoyed the story in general and the characters are the best part. The second book is my favorite ?❤️✨

slumps can be brutal, but yay for your comeback! I love being able to dig into a series and have a string of solid reads.
honestly I’ve been kind of jumping around lately too, which is definitely not normal for me ? here’s hoping it improves soon for both of us! I’m currently #1 on the library holds list for The Night Country and I keep refreshing OverDrive hoping it’s changed, haha

Ooooh!! I really need to power through it. I got sent another ARC this week and so now I’m starting to panic… (this will
go very well with the slump!)
I saw on discord you were looking for a BR partner. Let me know when you get The Night Country if that’s one you want to read!!
Isabelle @ Nine Tale Vixen
definitely will do!!
