WWW Wednesday – 15 December 2021

Hello bookworms!! Welcome to this week’s WWW Wednesday — 15 December 2021!! Remember last week when I said “Blogmas is going well”? HAHAHAHAHAHA. Yeah, that was a time.

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words, where you answer the three following questions:

  • What did you recently finish?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • And, what do you think you’ll read next?

So… let’s get to it!!

what i finished

I finished absolutely nothing last week. Like, absolutely nothing. I did start a bunch of books though… I really hope I’m not about to go into another slump!!

what i'm reading

The City of Zirdai by Maria V SnyderThe City of Zirdai by Maria V. Snyder 🗒

This was on my list last week and I had only read 20 pages. In the week since I’ve only increased that to 35 pages. So, I might be finished this book by June 2022 at the rate that I am going. So, you know, so much for finishing the Alphabet Challenge. Well, that and the final book, The King of Koraha comes out this month, which means I can cross a whole trilogy off my list of I get this read quicker.

The Unexpected Everything by Morgan MatsonThe Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson 🗒

Because, you know what happens when I start reading a dystopian? Yeah, I want to read everything else EXCEPT it. So I started this too. I mean, it DOES go towards the alphabet challenge too, but I only read 14 pages of this book this week. So, I guess you could say I’m going … strong??

The Scorpio Races by Maggie StiefvaterThe Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater 🎧

Yes, I finally started my annual reread of The Scorpio Races. And I can confirm that I love it just as much as ever. I’m going audio this year again — partly because I love the narrators (which happens very rarely), but also because I have been doing so many things, the only time I’ve had is the drive to and from work. I’m about a third of the way through.

A Dashwood of sense and Sensibility by Anyta SundayA Dashwood of Sense and Sensibility by Anyta Sunday 📱

Yes, I also started the final book in the Love, Austen series, because I am trash. Actually, it’s just because there’s this ONE book left in the series and I want to tick it off. But also because I’m already invested in the characters from previous books. Plus I needed an ebook for when I have five minutes and this doesn’t require a lot of concentration.

what's up next

Jay's Gay Agenda by Jason JuneThe final book I need to read to tick off the alphabet challenge is the one I’m keeping to reward myself for finishing the others. Which ultimately could backfire on me. But I’m saving Jay’s Gay Agenda by Jason June for last to incentivise myself. So, keep your fingers crossed for me!! Because I’m either going to nail this completely, or end up with another 18 books in my “currently reading” pile, but at least I’ll tick off J on the alphabet challenge early in 2022!!

What are you currently reading??

until next time, happy reading! Meeghan xo
