WWW Wednesday – 10 June 2020

Good morning bookworms!

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words, where you answer the three following questions:

  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

I know!!!! I am two days late. This month year is genuinely killing me. I don’t even know what I’m doing any more, apart from working all the hours and not sleeping because of stress… while still managing to read approximately 2 books per week on average.

I am barely blogging, and I am very sorry about my current inconsistencies. I have so many half drafted posts just sitting in my draft items, it’s quite sad really. BUT, my May wrap-up is coming, and at least 3 book reviews!!

So, what did I read last week? Hopefully Goodreads can remind me!!

what i finished

What can I say, except, it’s all romance, all the time right now. Just a lot. I’ve read more since I should have posted this on Wednesday (which will be in next week’s post if I manage to write it…). My Kindle Unlimited is getting a THRASHING at the moment. Is this helping my TBR? No.

Filthy Gods

Holy bejeebers. Someone find R. Scarlett and ask for the rest of this series, because I need it immediately, if not sooner. Filthy Gods is book #0.5 of the American Gods series.

❤️ ?‍? ?

Under Locke

Under Locke by Mariana Zapata is a romance novel for fans of Sons of Anarchy. As much as I loved The Wall of Winnipeg and Me, this one wasn’t quite as good, but I loved Dex more than Aidan.

From Lukov With Love

Did I have a Mariana Zapata mini read-a-thon last week? Yes. Am I sorry about it? Not in the slightest. From Lukov With Love is for all the figure skating lovers out there.

❤️ ?‍? ?

I put Siege and Storm back down again, but deliberately this time. I really need to finish review books, you know, once I get the romance out of my system…

The Dark Tide

The Dark Tide by Alicia Jasinska is a debut fantasy novel from an Aussie author. I’m really enjoying this when I squeeze a few chapters in between the romances I’ve been reading… I don’t know what % I was at on Wed!!

⚔️ ❤️ ?‍♀️ ? ?️‍? ⏰ ?

Red Glove

Red Glove by Holly Black is the second book in the Curseworkers trilogy that is also taking me an age to read. I am buddy-reading this with DB and it is NOT on my June TBR. I am 55% into this book.

Books I really need to get to next are all the review books on my TBR!!

Okay. I REALLY do need to get around to read Zapata’s books ?(so sorry if I mispelled!! I absolutely have a blank rn.. and writing this comment on mobile so can’t double check)

I finished « Harbinger » for my blogtour with the author Olga Gibbs, currently reading « When the stars leads to you » which omg!!! Loving it ?
Can’t say for sure that it’s what i’d pick next (still have arcs to review.. oops)— but I kinda feel like going for « let’s talk about love ».

You spelled it perfectly Kristina!! The Wall of Winnipeg and Me is my fave Zapata, but if I was still doing half star reviews, then Under Locke would have been 4.5 stars.
Also, I just looked up When the Stars Lead to You and it looks amazing!! Definitely adding that one to my TBR – thank you!!

ahh I love holly black’s curse workers trilogy it’s legit my favorite of her books and deserves more hype <3 my favorite was the third book, I hope you enjoy the trilogy even if it takes longer to read <3

Kay, I have been reading this book for months. It’s one of those ‘I love it when I’m reading it, but oh, look at the shiny new book over there!’. However, I’m making a commitment to get these OFF my currently reading lists, and I did finish one in May, so I hope it’s either Red Glove or DEV1AT3 in June!!

YESSSSS!!! Did you love Scorch Dragons? I’ve heard so many great things (but I was waiting for Battle Born to come out so I haven’t started it yet, and now I think I might want to reread Ice Wolves again too…

It was very adventerous and fun! I listened to it very quickly, because I couldn’t stop haha!

MZ is one of my favorite slow-burn romance authors and I love The Wall… Have you read Kulti. That one was amazing too. I’m also planning to read the Curse workers Series but to be honest, I’m kind of in a slump right no, which sucks.

Have a great week Meghan and Happy reading. ??
