Hello friends!! Welcome to this week’s WWW Wednesday — 10 July 2024!!
WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words, where you answer the three following questions:
What did you recently finish?
What are you currently reading?
And, what do you think you’ll read next?
Let’s see what I have been reading… (All images will link to Goodreads if you click on them. Potentially.)

WWW Wednesday — 10 July 2024
Ahh July… the month that I always seem to slump in. With the exception of 2020, because really, what else was I going to do that winter?? In 2023 and 2022 I only read 7 books in July. And in 2021 it was FOUR. 2020 was the anomaly with 16 books read, and in 2019 I read 9 books.
After smashing out two books in the July half of last week, this week I can only add one finished book to the pile. It’s going to be a slow month. I can tell already. But that’s ok because I am 19 books ahead on my Goodreads challenge.

Title: If You Hate Me
Author: Helena Hunting
Series: Toronto Terror #1
Released: 7 May 2024
Read: July 2024
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Hello. Just me, back on my older-brother’s-best-friend bullshit. This was good though. Not super traumatic, and spicy but not over the top awkward. The drama level was also perfect.
It has begun. I learnt my lesson from stressing out last month, and I have commenced my Bookish Collision Discord Book Club read for July.
The Priory of the Orange Tree is a big boi though, so it’s probably going to take me the whole month to read. I’m about 40 pages in, and the world building is heavy.
I am also in the midst of watching Shōgun as well, so there’s lots of East and West historical fiction in my life at the moment. I probably should have finished one before I started the other, but you live, you learn. Sometimes.
I am excited for more dragons in my life though.

I know I have a bunch of books on my July 2024 TBR, however, this is the other book club book. And since I out it forward, this should be my next read.
The Wisteria Society of Lady Scoundrels is the first book in the Dangerous Damsels series by India Holton. And despite having all three books currently out, I’ve not picked up a single one yet. I did buy them out of order though, so that didn’t really help.
I may start this while in the midst of Priory because I believe the Book Club chat for this is earlier in the month. Anyway, we’ll see how long it takes me to read Priory first.

What are you currently reading?
