WWW Wednesday — 1 May 2024

Hello friends!! Welcome to this week’s WWW Wednesday — 1 May 2024!!

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words, where you answer the three following questions:

  • What did you recently finish?

  • What are you currently reading?

  • And, what do you think you’ll read next?

Let’s see what I have been reading… (All images will link to Goodreads if you click on them. Potentially.)

what i finished

I Think He Knows by Katie Bailey

Now, I didn’t read a lot last week, but I did finish a book. Yay!! And it was a 24 in 24 challenge book!! Huzzah!! Another tick on my book chart!! (Which is so good. I’ve started giving myself stickers in my planner, and, can I just say, sticker rewards are the BEST!! So motivating!!)

Title: I Think He Knows
Author: Katie Bailey
Series: Donovan Family #2
Released: 23 Jun 2023
Read: Apr 2024
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I usually don’t enjoy friends to lovers that much, but THIS friends to lovers was SO GOOD. I loved them all, and the friendship to lovers spark was so realistic.

what i'm reading

You know what I did?! I started Strange the Dreamer. WILD. I didn’t finish it, but I made it to about 50% of the way through before our book club chat, so I’m taking that as a win.

Also, I am still reading all the other books… ish.

Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor
Her Majesty's Royal Coven by Juno Dawson
The Prisoner's Throne by Holly Black
Rivals by Katharine McGee
The Forest Grimm by Kathryn Purdie
A Duet with the Siren Duke by Elise Kova

what's up next

What is up next?? Me figuring out what is going on my May TBR. And (fingers crossed), finishing a couple of the above books from my ‘currently reading’ pile. That’s all I want at the moment.

In saying that… I do have a review book coming in the post. It’s called Cross the Line by Simone Soltani (thanks Pan Macmillan Australia). This is Simone’s debut novel it’s a brother’s best friend, sports romance, and I am SO KEEN. (And we’ve all seen what a brother’s best friend kick I was on earlier this year, to absolutely no satisfaction.) And I am expecting it to arrive on Friday… So maybe a little something new as well!! Cross the Line is coming out in July 2024!!

What can I say? I’m expanding my sports romances to include Formula 1 now that I have watched Drive to Survive on Netflix. (Oh yes, I’m low key obsessed with F1 now. Don’t even ask…)
