Top 5… 'unputdownable' reads
Good morning bookworms!
Today’s Top 5 Tuesday is ‘unputdownable’ reads. Top 5 Tuesday is hosted by the super lovely Shanah over at the Bionic Bookworm. You can visit her here, and join in for Top 5 Tuesday by checking out all the amazing topics that are coming up!
So I’m taking ‘unputdownable’ as books that I read in one sitting. Which are actually a few, but these are my faves.
First up I’m actually listing the entire All For the Game trilogy by Nora Sakavic. As I think I’ve mentioned a few times, I read this entire trilogy (all 985 pages) in 48 hours. Plus, because I was sick, I was sleeping a lot at the same time. Although, I was up until 2am finishing one of them, so I might have been catching up on sleep from that too… ?
Regardless, The Foxhole Court, The Raven King and The King’s Men are three of the most unputdownable books I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading. (But I’m only counting them as one for the purposes of a ‘top 5’…)
I also read my ARC of The Boy Who Steals Houses by C. G. Drews in one sitting. I love this book so much it’s actually kind of ridiculous. This is such a fantastic book, and if you haven’t read it and you like sharp girls and soft boys and don’t mind bloody knuckles, then you should absolutely go pick this up immediately.
Penny and Sam in Mary H. K. Choi’s Emergency Contact broke my heart about 16 different ways, but all of them were soothing like she had taken my insides, sliced them into pages, and then gifted the book to me. I devoured this book and after finishing it, immediately wanted to read it again.
Because I don’t do things the normal way, my first becky Albertalli book was The Upside of Unrequited, and I can’t remember exactly why I was reading it – something to do with an OwlCrate backlist – but I do know that I started it, and then I finished it, and I hadn’t moved, and my t-shirt was sopping wet from using it to wipe away my tears as I read it.
Anna and the French Kiss is probably one of the most random books that I absolutely adore. I started it at about 9pm and finished it at 2am and thank god that was not a work day. I had put off this Stephanie Perkins trilogy because of a lot of hype, but this book was amazing. And when I say it’s ‘random’, I mean because it’s soft and gooey and happy – and I normally prefer books that tear me apart (see above list for evidence).
Until next time, happy reading ??

I feel the same about AFTG! I read all 3 book back to back. It as the same with the Captive Prince trilogy; I was sick and read them back to back as well

Ahhh, Captive Prince is AH-MAZING!!! I’ve very fortunate to live in the same city as Pacat (for the next 4 weeks anyway) and so I got my copies signed. I love them so much!! ?

OMG get them BOTH!! I highly recommend. I think I’ve been spamming people a bit about it… I did a review, an interview with Cait, and a book blitz post!! ?

I feel the same way about Emergency Contact! It absolutely destroyed me, and I thought it about for months after until I finally picked it up and was promptly destroyed all over again.

I’ve been wanting to read Anna and the French kiss for such a long time now. It’s sounds like an interesting and light read. And I have both of the books by C.G.Drews but their sitting patiently on the shelf.
