Top 5 Tuesday topics: October-December 2021
Hello bookworms!! Welcome to the Top 5 Tuesday topics post: October-December 2021!! Yes, it’s the spooky wrap up time of the year!!
We are staying with the quarterly topics, as I’ve had some great feedback from you all about it. Also, you’ll see some repeats in December because I really love doing wrap-up posts towards the end of the year!!
Top 5 Tuesday was created by Shanah at Bionic Book Worm, and it is my absolute privilege and pleasure to say that it is now being hosted here, at Meeghan reads!!
Top 5 Tuesday topics: October 2021

Let’s talk about horror tropes that you are brave in the face of… or that you find mildly ridiculous to funny.
12 October: Top 5 books that did scare you
I don’t read scary books, so I can imagine my list for this week will be filled with Goosebumps books from my childhood. But please bring awareness to all the books that scared (and maybe scarred) you.
19 October: Top 5 spooky worlds
Spooky worlds are a THING. Let’s talk about all the places you never want to go… Or maybe you do want to go if you’re into that sort of thing!!
26 October: Top 5 creepy covers
I am really into book covers at the moment, can you tell?! (If not, please see the August prompts.) But let’s chat about all those book covers that give you super creepy atmospheric vibes!!

2 November: Top 5 tropes I can’t get enough of
Hello. Are you like me, and as soon as book lists 3 tropes you immediately add it to your TBR? What are those tropes that add books faster to your TBR than saying ‘TBR’?
9 November: Top 5 tropes I dislike
Inversely, are there tropes that really turn you off a book?
16 November: Top 5 bad tropes done well
And because there are exceptions to every rule (or loopholes), what are some tropes that you normally dislike, but were done well in certain books?!
23 November: Top 5 books I haven’t read yet in 2021
What are some of the books you wanted to read this year, but just haven’t quite gotten to yet? And tell us if you think you’ll be able to cram them into your December TBR!!
30 November: *FREEBIE*
I feel like we haven’t had a freebie for a while, so this one is for everyone that has wanted one.
If you would like some inspiration though, I will be posting a Top 5 most recent reads.
Top 5 Tuesday topics: December 2021
Hello end of year wrap up vibes. December is one of my fave months of the year. Partially because I don’t need to think too hard for topics. But also because I love looking back at the year that was.
7 December: Top 5 books on my 2021 wishlist
No matter what you celebrate in December, be it Christmas, Hanukkah, Hogmanay, Jolabokaflod, Koliada, Kwanzaa, Krampusnacht, Nikoldjan, Pancha Ganapati, St Lucia Day, St Nicholas Day, Winter Solstice, Yule, Erastide, Hogswatch, Festivus, Kaldoran, Snoggletog, Yulemas, Decemberween or Chrismukkah, tell us what books are on the top of your wishlist!!
* Also feel free to share this post with your family and friends for not-so-subtle hints of things to put in your present pile.
14 December: Top 5 covers of 2021
What are some of your favourite covers that you have seen this year? Maybe these were reprints, redesigns or alternate covers that came out this year, or maybe they are brand new books.
Whatever they are, tell us all the pretties you have been coveting.
21 December: Top 5 new authors of 2021
Tell us all about your favourite new authors. Either debut authors from 2o21, or new-to-you this year.

31 December: 2021 Top 5 Tuesday wrap up
Although not a Tuesday, I will be posting my Top 5 Tuesday (on a Friday) Wrap-up of 2021, and you’re more than welcome to join me in that. For inspiration or if you’re curious about what this is, please check out my previous years, 2020 T5T wrap up, 2019 T5T wrap up.
As always, please link your Top 5 Tuesday posts to a specific post (not just my homepage or a category page) otherwise I won’t get a notification). Or you can share your link in the comments of either this or my post on the day, and I will collate all your responses and share them!!
