Hello friends!! Welcome to the Top 5 Tuesday topics post: January-March 2025!!

It is 2025!! Which means the year of Futuresport is finally upon us!! If this makes no sense to you, you may either stay for my rambles or skip below to the top 5 Tuesday topics for January-March 2025.

A millionty years ago when I was a small child (it was the 90s), I watched a show called Lois and Clark. (My superhero love has always been strong.) And starring as Superman was a young(ish) man named Dean Cain. When the show was cancelled, he went on to star in a bunch of D-grade straight to TV/DVD films. And one of those also featured Mr Blade himself, Wesley Snipes. (Ahhh, Blade Trinity was so bad, but introduced me to Ryan Reynolds and I loved it.)

This such movie was called Futuresport and was set in the future — 2025 to be exact. I don’t remember much. Just that it was set in 2025 and revolves around some sport that looked like a combo of rollerblading, basketball and ice hockey, but is played on hoverboards. I’m sure the movie is terrible and this is not a call to watch it. Just a fond memory and a hope that hoverboards will be available for sport this year.

Anyway, let’s start 2025 off with a bunch of resolutions that I probably won’t keep (if any other year is to go by). And by a bunch, I mean TWO MONTHS of them. Which sounds like a lot, and I hope you won’t run screaming. But I promise we can do it!! This will be followed by a mini scavenger hunt because, honestly, it’s been way too long since we’ve done one of these!!

I am going to continue with using InLinkz link options to link back to your posts. What this means is that you will be in charge of linking your own posts, rather than me scouring the web (or my spreadsheet) for them. It should be easy because my post will go up first, due to *timezomes*. Since going self-hosted back in 2020, I’ve not been getting pingbacks for the majority of posts now, so it’s been difficult and time consuming to find everyone’s posts. I appreciate your support in this.
