Top 5 Tuesday topics: April-June 2024

Hello friends!! Welcome to the Top 5 Tuesday topics post: April-June 2024!!

Uhhh, I think my brain just needs a re-set… Because I don’t understand how time works. How are we already at this point?? Will I be re-iterating this again in every post for the next week? Yes, I think so.

OK, so in quarter 1, we did a bunch of resolutions and then some random holiday things from around the world. I think it worked? (Please let me know if it didn’t?!!) And so on that basis we shall continue…

Top 5 Tuesday was created by Shanah at Bionic Book Worm, and it is my absolute privilege and pleasure to say that it is now being hosted here, at Meeghan reads!!

Also, a gentle reminder to all that if you would like to borrow a header post from me, please use the pink one with the calendar, not the blue one with the succulents. I have personally paid for these to be designed by the lovely Kat at Waffley Cute Designs, and there is a whole permissions thing with the use of these images. Thank you!!

2 April: Top 5 anticipated reads for Q2 2024

It’s time to talk about all the shiny new books coming out in April, May and June 2024. What are the books you can’t wait to hold in your hands the most?

9 April: Top 5 books with hijinks

April started with April Fools Day, and it’s also National Humour Month (somewhere). So, what are all your fave books with some hijinks (jokes, scares, pranks, etc)?

16 April: Top 5 books with neurodiverse characters

April is National Autism Awareness Month, so let’s celebrate with some of our fave neuro-spicy characters.

23 April: Top 5 books with cheese

Somewhere in the world it is National Grilled Cheese month… I know, right?! So, you can take this any way you want. Either shout about some books with great jokes (cheesy or otherwise), or go straight down that literally path of cheesy goodness.

Top 5 Tuesday topics: May 2024

7 May: Top 5 yellow books

The first of May is Beltane and one of my fave Celtic celebrations. Beltane is generally celebrated with yellow flowers, and so we are doing our top 5 yellow books!

14 May: Top 5 mums in books

Mother’s Day is pretty universal, and what better way to celebrate than by showcasing some exceptional fictional (or non-fictional if that’s your preference) mums.

21 May: Top 5 sporty books

Have I been trying to wrangle a sports romance sub-category somehow? I’ll never tell. However, someone made up a National Tennis Month holiday, and I have taken it and run. A fictional mile. (Because IRL running is so ew.)

28 May: Top 5 vampire books

Unbelievably, there is a World Dracula Day!! On 26 May!! And I am here for it. So, what are your fave books with vampires?

Top 5 Tuesday topics: June 2024

4 June: Top 5 red books

June’s flower of the month is the rose, and the fruit of the month is pomegranate. So, we are doing our top 5 red books.

11 June: Top 5 PRIDE books

Yes, it’s PRIDE month again!! Last year we did PRIDE books on our TBR, so now we’re doing PRIDE books that we have read.

18 June: Top 5 books on my wishlist in 2024

Yes, it’s still my birthday month, so I like to celebrate with books on my wishlist, and you can too!!

25 June: Top 5 books of 2024… so far!

I had so much fun doing a top 5 halfway through last year, so we’re making this one a staple. What does your top 5 list look like at our halfway point??

As always, please link your Top 5 Tuesday posts to a specific post (not just my homepage or a category page) otherwise I won’t get a notification. Or you can share your link in the comments of either this or my post on the day, and I will collate all your responses (that I can find) and share them!!

Which prompts are you looking forward to?
