Ok, so I don’t actually remmeber which book Abraxos (or Manon) arrive in this series in. Maybe book 3? It’s been a while since I read it. However, I can say with certainty that Abraxos is an absolute delight of a being. He’s basically a golden retriever in scale and wing form. I would 100% adopt.

Ok, so Kozu has a bot of a temper, but we still love him. He does exaplain things as the story goes on,a nd you can see his perspective. But he is a bit much at the start. PLUS, he helps out so much in the trilogy. Besides, he loves the forbidden stories, and anyone who loves stories can’t be bad… right?!

Admittedly, Fluffy doesn’t get a great deal of screentime, but I’d already found four (technically five, but I’m lumping two together since they’re in the same book) dragons. So really it was just a matter of finding another dragon. Besides, he shares the same name as one of my cats.

And I couldn’t remember any of the dragaon names from The Witches of Eileanan series.

I love Smaug the same way that I love Iago. He’s inherently evil, but just an amazingly great character. Although I’d like to think that Smaug might be more redeemable than Iago. Like, if you gave him some gold, a new mountain he could haunt, fed him some goats and gave him a hug, he might not eat you? Yeah, probanly not.
