Top 5… fave booktube channels

Good morning bookworms!
Today’s Top 5 Tuesday is ‘fave booktube channels’! Top 5 Tuesday is hosted by the super lovely Shanah over at the Bionic Bookworm. You can visit her here, and join in for Top 5 Tuesday by checking out all the amazing topics that are coming up!
Ok, so this might sound a little strange, but I don’t really watch a lot of booktube. To be honest, I’m not really a video-person. The husband is always telling me that I don’t know how to internet or meme properly (yes, those are verbs in my house) and he’s probably correct. I spend most of my internet time here, with you guys. Or on instagram, with you guys. Or on Goodreads, (say it with me now) with you guys. Or maybe on Book Depository, with my bank details.
So, with that in mind, here are six booktubers that I occasionally log on to watch their content!! (I mean, they’re the only six… so you’re getting them all.)

Piera Forde

Honestly, I’d be a bad person if I didn’t start with Piera. She’s definitely the person I have watched the longest, and the most consistently. It helps that she’s Aussie and also loves Nevernight. However, I first became aware of Piera when I went to a book blogger / YA writer event in Melbourne in February 2018. In fact, it was at this event that I realised booktube was a thing (there was a panel of booktubers, but Piera is the only one I kept watching). I backed her Kickstarter campaign to make Nevernight into a Youtube series, and I’ve seen her at a couple of book events since (all Jay Kristoff events). More than all of this though, I really like her content, even when I don’t agree with her opinions.

Book Roast

I also really enjoy watching Gintare, although I became aware of her because of the OWLs read-a-thon in 2018. (Don’t forget I’m doing my NEWTs this month!) G is really creative and I love how she interacts with her audience. I like how friendly and upbeat she is all the time – she’s just really fun to watch.

ChelseaDolling reads

Chelsea is amazing and so bubbly, and I love her. That’s literally all I have to say about her. Oh, and her instagram is super cute too. So, do yourself a favour: just go watch a couple hours of her, and join the Chelsea Dolling fanclub.

Books and Lala

Books and Lala is probably one of the newest channels that I subscribe to. I don’t remember how I found it, but I do really like the content. TBH that’s about all I can tell you, because I’ve probably only watched a dozen videos… ?

KivoxEnder

I really like Kivox and Meekachi. They’re fun but still very brutal. And I feel like if I had a persona for video, it would be as sassy as them both (combined – seriously, I would need to find a sunshine person to co-host with). They really support Gintare with the OWLs and NEWTs read-a-thons (I think this was how I found them?) and I like their reviews, even though I do find them a bit harsh sometimes.

Feed the Crime

If you guys follow Blair’s blog, you might know that she has started the foray into booktube. The above video is actually the only one of Blair’s videos that I haven’t watched (yet) – and I don’t even like thrillers all that much. And even though I’ve met Piera, Blair is probably the one person that I watch that I feel like I actually know – which is insane because I only know Blair through her blog. However, if you’re looking for someone new who is still working their magic in the field of booktube, this is one you should definitely watch out for.

Can you PLEASE recommend me some more booktube channels!!
