Hello friends!! Welcome to Top 5 Tuesday!! This week’s topic is top 5 bookish resolutions for 2025!!
Gosh, how time flies!! I can’t believe that we’re already two weeks into 2025. And we’re only just doing bookish resolutions now. Maybe some times it’s better to move the quarterly anticipated reads to a bit further into the quarter. But that’s something to think about next year.

top 5 bookish resolutions for 2025
read 100 books
I know Amazon is bad, and Goodreads is never updated. But I will probably always be a Goodreads user, because I’ve had librarian status for over 10 years now. Plus I just find it easy to use and all my books are there. (Yes, I know I can download the data.)
Regardless, I plan to continue my goal of reading 100 books per year. It used to be when I was getting back into reading that if I read over my goal, I would increase it to the next 10 marker. (Because metric system.) However, even though I read 132 books in 2024, I will not be increasing it. 100 is good enough, and if I do read more, well, that’s a bonus.
finish some challenges
Last year my goal was to DO more reading challenges. (As per this post.) In 2025 my goal is to actually finish the challenges. What a novel concept. Maybe not every single one, but just one. Or two. I’m pretty sure I signed up for half a dozen or so.
Although I suppose reading 100 books DOES complete one challenge.
OK, what about completing at least one challenge OTHER than the Goodreads reading challange.
Oh, and I’d also like to actually finish as many of the top 5 Tuesday challenges as possible. Are they challenges?? Maybe more like somewhat empty promises… You know the ones.
do it for the Gram
Yup, I am once again attempting to go back to posting more frequently on Instagram. In fact, what I’m proposing for 2025 might even go a step further than that.
I am proposing to do a mini review of every book I read in 2025 on instagram. Plus some haul pictures and top 5 Tuesday posts over there too.
I started doing minis reviews on every books I read in 2024 in my WWW Weednesday posts. Usually they’re just me rambling for a short paragraph on what I liked or didn’t like. Sometimes (and I’m so sorry for this) I accidentally put a spoiler if I’m super mad about something. But usually they’re pretty nothing-ish. So, why not share that with the people of Instagram too?
We’ll see how long it lasta anyway.
continue blogging consistency
I have to give myself credit here. I said I wanted to blog more consistently in 2024, and I think I did it. Most of the time my top 5 Tuesday posts were even written ahead of time. Whether or not I had them scheduled was another matter.
So this year I don’t want to increase any metrics on this resolution. I’d like to continue on at the steady and even pace that I set in 2024. Maybe do some additional game reviews (because gosh did I play some videogames in 2024 that I didn’t mention). Start doing some wrap up posts and hauls again? Or maybe start going back and filling in the blanks for the t5t posts that I missed. But just holding steady is great.
finish one monthly TBR
Just one month this year I would like to read my entire TBR. I know I often put more books on my TBR than I intend to read in a month. Because I’m a mood reader and I like options. And that’s on me to stop adding so many.
But for just one month over the course of 2025, I would like to stick to and finish a TBR.

Nowadays I seem to use insta mote then my blog. On insta I post photos of all books read. And sometimes if something to say manage a sentence or two about them!
