    February ’20 book haul

Good morning bookworms!! It’s time for the monthly book haul!! And honestly, the total is OVER my ten book monthly limit, but it’s kind of not my fault…?! Book haul categories are as follows: book boxes book purchases (book mail, in-store, digital* and gifts) review copies (book mail and digital), and bookish items (book related, but not actual books). * Not counting Kindle Unlimited I subscribe to three monthly boxes: OwlCrate, FairyLoot and the book-only subscription for LitJoy. In February I skipped OwlCrate, but the other two didn’t arrive either…

    ABC Book Challenge: M

Good morning bookworms! Quick life update: Remember how we moved house? Yeah, well I hurt my back lifting boxes, and then I ignored it, kind of hoping it would go away… A-HAHAHAHA. Life lesson for you all: Don’t do that. Because of my repeated ignoring, I managed to do more damage which has resulted in 3 sprained discs in my back, and really, just a lot of pain. Hence my sudden disappearance again!! But I’m on the mend again, so fingers crossed I can finally catch up and finish all…

Recommendations: So, I'm thinking about trying adult fiction…

Good evening bookworms! So, most of you are probably thinking ‘What the hell, Meegs? WE READ YA!’ Don’t get me wrong – I’m totally with you. But sometimes I like to change things up. (Not very often though… I am a creature of comfort.) I was, weirdly, reading adult books before there was a defined YA age group. Uh-huh, that’s how old I am kids, Old enough to remember pre-internet, pre-mobile phones, and pre-YA. It truly was the dark ages. However, in those years BYA (before YA), I read some…

March '19 wrap-up and April TBR

Good morning bookworms! We are officially less than 9 months out from 2020. Which is not only insane, but very surreal. This year is going far too quickly!! March wrap-up So, in last month’s wrap-up I was laughing it up about having a mid-year slump… and then I had a mini slump. What are the odds?! I mean, it’s entirely possible that I jinxed myself, but how often does that really happen? Anyway, graphic novels have saved my butt this month, pulling me through to a total of 11 books.…

Good morning bookworms! It’s unbelievable to me that it’s actually 2019. It’s even more unbelievable that we have less than 10 months left of this year. (9 months and 30 days as I write this!) February wrap-up I had a pretty good reading month, despite having to go back to work this month. I am definitely in a holiday hangover, and it has been ROUGH!! I read 9 books, and I’m pretty happy with this! In fact, at this rate, I will be hitting my goal of 90 pretty quickly,…

  • Book haul banner with a rainbow of pink and purple book spines

    February '19 book haul

Good morning bookworms! We’re experiencing a really strange end-of-season heat wave in Aus at the moment, so I’ve been lying under an air-conditioner instead of reading everyone’s blog posts this week. I’m so sorry! I will catch up on the weekend! (It was 41°C today – roughly 106°F.) As per the new normal, we are splitting this into four sections: book boxes, book purchases (mail and in-store), review books (physical and digital), and bookish merch. I subscribe to three monthly boxes: OwlCrate, FairyLoot and the book-only subscription for LitJoy. Here…

    The 80's Movie tag

Good morning bookworms! A couple of weeks ago I was tagged by the lovely Siobhan at Siobhan’s Novelties to do the 80’s Movie tag. This tag was originally created by Ashley at Infinite Library and she created the cutest graphics to go along with it (that I’m pretty sure everyone has borrowed as well)! I’m pretty excited about this tag! However, despite being a child of the 80’s, my parents weren’t really into television and movies, instead preferring music and books, so I’ve actually not seen the majority of these films!…
