    November ’19 book haul

Good afternoon bookworms! Book haul categories are as follows: book boxes book purchases (book mail, instore and digital) review copies (book mail and digital), and bookish items (book related, but not actual books). I subscribe to three monthly boxes: OwlCrate, FairyLoot and the book-only subscription for LitJoy. However, unusually I cancelled ALL THREE for October. I can’t remember what the books were, but I just wasn’t really that interested… I did receive two limited edition boxes through OwlCrate though: Call Down the Hawk by Maggie Stiefvater The Queen of Nothing…

  • Book recommendations: Overwatch

    Book recommendations: Overwatch edition #1

Good morning bookworms! So, if you know anything about me (except that I love books and cake), you’ll know that I am low-key obsessed with Overwatch. Admittedly, my team in the Overwatch League (New York Excelsior – picked prior to Stage 1 last year as Gansey’s catchphrase is ‘Excelsior!’) isn’t doing too well with the new meta (which is really odd because surely Pine and Saebyeolbe should be back in fine form as DPS?!); however, this is not what I’m here to talk to you about today! If you’re not…

    O.W.L.s read-a-thon wrap-up 2019

Good morning book wizards and witches! Holy moly! Thank god that’s over. WHYYYYY do I think that signing up for reading challenges is a good idea? I am a MOOD READER. I am BAD at this. Let’s go see what I actually read this month, and then we can discuss how I am NOT *spoiler alert* going to be an Alchemist. If you don’t know about O.W.L.s you can click on my post from last year HERE, or you can go watch G @ Book Roast‘s video HERE. OWLs TBR…

    Avengers Readathon TBR

Good morning bookworms! Yes folks, it’s time for me to sign up to MOAR read-a-thons that I may not be able to handle! Are you ready? (Good. At least someone is…) So, The Perks of Being Noura have compiled this amazing challenge, and I am signing up. Why, you ask? It’s mostly because I’m a huge Marvel nerd. But also because I don’t think that 12 challenges in one year is enough. No sirree, Bob. The Avengers Read-a-thon starts on 14 April and runs through to 14 May – that’s…

    O.W.L.s Read-a-thon TBR 2019

Good morning book wizards and witches! Today I was going to post my book haul for March, but that got pushed back so that I can announce my OWLs read-a-thon TBR! So, if you don’t know about O.W.L.s you can click on my post from last year HERE, or you can go watch G @ Book Roast‘s video HERE. Careers OK, so I am really undecided on which Wizarding Career I want to aim for with my NEWTs. I mean, obviously there’s some I don’t care for. But Alchemist is…

    The NOPE. book tag

Good morning bookworms! So today my schedule (that I try and hold myself to) says I should be posting a book review. But I’m super cranky and I think if I do post a review, it won’t be very nice… and that’s not how I want to do reviews!! LUCKILY the super lovely J R Lynn at Eternity Books has tagged me in what is probably the best ever tag to do in my current frame of mind! The NOPE. book tag!! (I’m surprisingly happy to be doing this right now…)…

    The Sleeping Beauty book tag

Good morning bookworms! The lovely Siobhan at Siobhan’s Novelties has tagged me in the Sleeping Beauty tag. I love this tag because even though The Little Mermaid was my fave movie as a kid, Aurora was my favourite princess. I mean, how can you not love her? She has two of the loveliest names and SHE NAPS. Napping is my favourite hobby, after reading. Best Princess ever… after Merida (because I can’t go past a Princess who could shoot you either). November ’18 book haul

As usual, we are splitting this into three sections: book boxes, book mail (online purchases that arrived), and book purchases (ebooks and in-store). November book boxes I subscribe to three monthly boxes: OwlCrate, FairyLoot and the book-only subscription for LitJoy. Nothing arrived this month though. OwlCrate’s book this month was Girls of Paper and Fire by Natasha Ngan, which I got last month in the FairyLoot box, so I suspended my order for November, and both FairyLoot and LitJoy are still overseas according to my tracking emails! November book mail This month…
