    March ’20 wrap-up

Good morning bookworms! Let’s talk about March… ooof. I am telling you, someone needs to pull the plug on 2020 and let’s just restart this year, because between fire, floods and worldwide pandemic, I am done with 2020, and we’re only one quarter through. On a happier note, let’s talk about all the GOOD things from last month.   I read, a surprising, 9 books in March. Now, I know 9 isn’t normally a surprising number for me; however, up until the 28th of March I had only finished 5…

    February ’20 book haul

Good morning bookworms!! It’s time for the monthly book haul!! And honestly, the total is OVER my ten book monthly limit, but it’s kind of not my fault…?! Book haul categories are as follows: book boxes book purchases (book mail, in-store, digital* and gifts) review copies (book mail and digital), and bookish items (book related, but not actual books). * Not counting Kindle Unlimited I subscribe to three monthly boxes: OwlCrate, FairyLoot and the book-only subscription for LitJoy. In February I skipped OwlCrate, but the other two didn’t arrive either…

February ’20 wrap up and March TBR

Good morning bookworms! It’s time for the monthly wrap-up! During January… I got sick and had 2 migraines (new record). I also didn’t read anything for 11 days. That’s a pretty good record. Reading though? I read 6 books… which is the equal lowest number of books read per month in the last two years. (June 2019 was also 6 books!) Also, two of the books that I finished were even on my TBR for February, so I basically won because that never happens! However, I’m trying not to beat…

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words, where you answer the three following questions: What did you recently finish reading? What are you currently reading? What do you think you’ll read next? I must say, I scrambled a little bit to try and finish 120 books this year. I was…

    December ’19 book haul

Good morning bookworms, and HAPPY NEW YEAR!! I’m gonna be honest, it feels kind of weird being New Years at the moment. Our fireworks got canceled a week ago because of the total fire ban in place with all of our bushfires.* We’ve had friends be evacuated from their homes yesterday and a lot of people spent the night at basketball stadiums and emergency evacuation centres. Highways have been closed, and it’s a little scary here. Certainly not the start to the 2020 that any of us wanted. * If…

Good morning bookworms! Well, it’s New Years Eve in Australia, so it’s time to do an end of year thing. I’m not *quite* ready to do all my wrap-up posts because I plan on finishing at least one more book today (maybe even two!!), so instead I am pinching this tag from the lovely Destiny @ Howling Libraries! Are there any books you started this year that you need to finish? Yes, definitely! Ones I started this year (and got more than 10% through) include: Siege and Storm – Leigh…
