    WWW Wednesday – 8 July 2020

Good evening bookworms! WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words, where you answer the three following questions: What did you recently finish reading? What are you currently reading? What do you think you’ll read next? It’s been an interesting reading week!! I’m taking a page out of Elsa’s book and learning to let go. Especially of things that are making me feel STRESSED. So, I’m wiping off things that are low-key freaking me out, and moving on!!

July ’20 TBR: Pop Culture Readathon

Good morning bookworms! So… this is a bit late, but there’s a reason for it. I completely forgot that I had intended on doing the Pop Culture Readathon this month. And because I forgot, my plan was to just reread the Mortal Instruments (which I have almost totally forgotten because the TV series has stolen what actually happened from my mind, and also it’s been YEARS – like, at least 6 – since I’ve read them), and then finally start get a start on the 10,000 other Shadowhunter books I…

    April ’20 wrap-up

Good morning bookworms! April… jeez… I’m glad that’s over!! The world is still in isolation… Am I doing anything productive?? Not really!! Let’s talk about what happened last month… I survived the O.W.L.s, and managed to hit all the prompts I needed in order to go for the careers I want for my N.E.W.T.s!! I almost missed Potions because I couldn’t find a book under 150 pages – and at the last hour (literally between 11pm and midnight on 30 April) I just decided to reread a comic. But I…

(hahahahahaha, like I ever stick to my TBR…) Also, I’ve added the Of Wonderland book club back into the symbols. The theme for May is Myths and Folklore. Also,…

    October ’18 book haul

As usual, we are splitting this into three sections: book boxes, book mail (online purchases that arrived), and book purchases (ebooks and in-store). October book boxes As I mentioned last month, I have pared back my subscription boxes to three companies: OwlCrate, FairyLoot and the super amazing book-only subscription for LitJoy. Here is what arrived in October: September’s LitJoy arrived in the first week of October. The theme was Secrets and Shadows and the book was For a Muse of Fire by Heidi Heilig FairyLoot’s October theme was Beautiful Deceptions, and the…

I did add an additional column to my usual table, as I thought I should probably start marking off whether these books were on my TBR… Let me know what you think! Book Author Series Format TBR list? September ’18 wrap-up and October TBR

September wrap-up My reading month was ok for September. I read seven books, but I definitely got distracted by Sophie’s post and then I found Kindle Unlimited and I read way more eBooks than I normally do. So my TBR didn’t really go down… But I still read a some good books so I’m satisfied with my reading pile! I definitely read more romance this month that I normally do. And there seemed to be a lot more smut than I ever read in a month, but it was ok.…

August ’18 wrap-up (OWLs challenge) and September TBR

PHEW! For the first time in I don’t know how long, I read more books that I got for the month. Basically I think I now deserve a Nobel bookish prize for outstanding contributions to my TBR. Is that a thing? If not, can we make it a thing? August wrap-up – OWLs challenge results! WOOT! I got my OWLs (also known as Ordinary Wizarding Tests) by reading a book or story relating to a prompt for each of the subjects that I was interested in gaining results for! This…

    August ’18 book haul

As usual, we are splitting this into three sections: book boxes, online purchases (book mail), and in-store (book purchases). August book boxes So, I actually think all the book boxes are back on track, which is a really nice surprise after last month’s mess!! LitJoy’s August theme was Catwoman, and the book was Catwoman: Soulstealer by Sarah J Maas (and it was SIGNED! My first signed Maas book!) Reminder that I only order the ‘book only’ version from LitJoy (and I love it!) FairyLoot’s August theme was Mutinous Pirates, and the book contained was These…

July ’18 wrap-up and August TBR

I don’t know about you guys, but I feel like I’m just adding the same books onto my TBR, and then every month I have to admit that I didn’t read them (again), only to add them again for next month. I’m still kind of reading slump-ishly at the moment. Work is killing me, and I’ve been sick, and winter here is so depressing! I can’t wait for the sun to come back… July wrap-up I read more rereads than I normally do this month. This isn’t because I’m running…

    July ’18 book haul

ARGHHHHH! I had some real issues this month with my book boxes from June. My FairyLoot box got stolen from my front porch when it was delivered, so I thought that was the end of that, but then FairyLoot said they would send me a replacement box, so I am very happy about that (and it arrived with my July box)! The other June boxes all arrived very late as well (with the exception of OwlCrate). As usual, we are splitting this into three sections: book boxes, online purchases (book…

June ’18 wrap-up and July TBR

Jeez… July 4 already and I still haven’t posted my June wrap-up! Where does the time go? I’m feeling more and more like the white rabbit every month! I have to admit, that reading slump I was on during the the second half of May, totally spilled over into June. I didn’t read anything until 22 June (well, I read a ‘self-help’ book, but I don’t really count it). Bu then I smashed out four books and a comic in the last 8 days of the month, so it was…

    June ’18 book haul

Birthday month!  🎉🎁🍰🎈🥂🎊 Which means that I got a LOT of books this month. Please sit back, and enjoy the splurge… As usual, we are splitting this into three sections: book boxes, book mail, and in-store book purchases (which will also include in-person gifts this month). June book boxes So, turns out most of my book boxes for June are delayed. In fact, all of them bar one have still not arrived… OwlCrate’s June box theme was Summer Lovin’, and contained From Twinkle, With Love by Sandhya Menon with an exclusive…
