    Top 5 Tuesday 2019 wrap-up

Well, during 2019 Shanah asked us a lot of questions. Approximately 45. And some of them required us to predict things that would happen in the future. Books we were going to read this year, books we thought would be 5 star reads, books we were going to buy, etc. So, I’m now going back to check…

February '19 wrap-up and March TBR

Good morning bookworms! It’s unbelievable to me that it’s actually 2019. It’s even more unbelievable that we have less than 10 months left of this year. (9 months and 30 days as I write this!) February wrap-up I had a pretty good reading month, despite having to go back to work this month. I am definitely in a holiday hangover, and it has been ROUGH!! I read 9 books, and I’m pretty happy with this! In fact, at this rate, I will be hitting my goal of 90 pretty quickly,…

    February '19 book haul

Good morning bookworms! We’re experiencing a really strange end-of-season heat wave in Aus at the moment, so I’ve been lying under an air-conditioner instead of reading everyone’s blog posts this week. I’m so sorry! I will catch up on the weekend! (It was 41°C today – roughly 106°F.) As per the new normal, we are splitting this into four sections: book boxes, book purchases (mail and in-store), review books (physical and digital), and bookish merch. I subscribe to three monthly boxes: OwlCrate, FairyLoot and the book-only subscription for LitJoy. Here…

    The Sleeping Beauty book tag

Good morning bookworms! The lovely Siobhan at Siobhan’s Novelties has tagged me in the Sleeping Beauty tag. I love this tag because even though The Little Mermaid was my fave movie as a kid, Aurora was my favourite princess. I mean, how can you not love her? She has two of the loveliest names and SHE NAPS. Napping is my favourite hobby, after reading. Best Princess ever… after Merida (because I can’t go past a Princess who could shoot you either). Sleeping Beauty | A Main/Title Character Who is Overshadowed…

Ringing in the New Year Book Tag

Good morning bookworms! Right! I’m here to start the new year off with a bang! And what better way to do it, than to steal some tags that are about a year old, and recreate them and send them back out into the world? (No, but seriously, this was waaaaaay easier than creating my own tag.) So, we’re rebranding an end of 2017 tag as a start of 2019 tag. HOORAY! Rules: Link to the person who tagged you (umm, no one) Link to the creator of the tag (Bookmark…

August ’18 wrap-up (OWLs challenge) and September TBR

PHEW! For the first time in I don’t know how long, I read more books that I got for the month. Basically I think I now deserve a Nobel bookish prize for outstanding contributions to my TBR. Is that a thing? If not, can we make it a thing? August wrap-up – OWLs challenge results! WOOT! I got my OWLs (also known as Ordinary Wizarding Tests) by reading a book or story relating to a prompt for each of the subjects that I was interested in gaining results for! This…

    OWLs read-a-thon challenge progress report

Hi everyone! So a couple of weeks ago, I posted that I would be taking place in the Ordinary Wizarding Levels read-a-thon challenge for August (even though most people were doing their NEWTs), because I missed out in April! I also said that I might post an update during the month to show you guys my progress, which is what this post is! So, here’s what I have accomplished so far this month: Subject Prompt Book I thought I would read Book I actually read Ancient Runes A book with…

June ’18 wrap-up and July TBR

Jeez… July 4 already and I still haven’t posted my June wrap-up! Where does the time go? I’m feeling more and more like the white rabbit every month! I have to admit, that reading slump I was on during the the second half of May, totally spilled over into June. I didn’t read anything until 22 June (well, I read a ‘self-help’ book, but I don’t really count it). Bu then I smashed out four books and a comic in the last 8 days of the month, so it was…
