Bookending Autumn '19 and Tidyathon Goals

Good morning bookworms! I have had a very busy week, well month really! It has been full of travel and planning days (for work) and then a migraine… so, I haven’t been around much. However, all this is about to change. Because… I’M ONE OF THE HOSTS FOR BOOKENDING AUTUMN!! Clo @ Cuppa Clo and Sam @ Fictionally Sam run this each quarter, and I had so much fun taking part in Bookending Summer a couple of months back, that I thought I would throw my hat in the ring…

Bookending Summer '19 and Tidyathon Goals

Good evening bookworms! Oh wow. I am pretty sure my consistent blogging has spiralled beyond my control. So, this is my effort to get back on track! (You know, now that I can sit down for longer than 20 minutes at a time…) Bookending Summer ’19 Clo @ Book Dragons and Sam @ Fictionally Sam are organising #BookEndingSummer, and while I was on time to sign up (just), I have been a bit lax about writing a post to say what I will be doing. But that all stops now!…

Off Tangent Thoughts… while writing book reviews

Good morning bookworms! Sorry I’m late!! I spent all day yesterday finishing the secret beta read, and messaging with the authors, and stayed up way too late! Then this morning I slept in, and woke up in time to watch NY Excelsior (my babies – yes, I picked them because Gansey’s catchphrase is ‘Excelsior’) get beaten by Vancouver in the Overwatch League stage 2 semi-finals and now I am so sad! 😭💔 So today we are doing something slightly different. Charvi @ Not Just Fiction has started a series called Off…

Book blitz: The Boy Who Steals Houses

Good morning bookworms! So… last week while I was on a mini break, I was supposed to post something for the Aussie Book Blitz for The Boy Who Steals Houses by C. G. Drews. However, I didn’t for TWO reasons: I had already written and posted a book review AND an author interview for this gorgeous gem of a book I forgot (it’s really just the second reason, but the first reason is valid) Just in case you haven’t caught on by now though, I REALLY LOVED this book. So,…

    November ’18 book haul

As usual, we are splitting this into three sections: book boxes, book mail (online purchases that arrived), and book purchases (ebooks and in-store). November book boxes I subscribe to three monthly boxes: OwlCrate, FairyLoot and the book-only subscription for LitJoy. Nothing arrived this month though. OwlCrate’s book this month was Girls of Paper and Fire by Natasha Ngan, which I got last month in the FairyLoot box, so I suspended my order for November, and both FairyLoot and LitJoy are still overseas according to my tracking emails! November book mail This month…

    OWLs read-a-thon challenge progress report

Hi everyone! So a couple of weeks ago, I posted that I would be taking place in the Ordinary Wizarding Levels read-a-thon challenge for August (even though most people were doing their NEWTs), because I missed out in April! I also said that I might post an update during the month to show you guys my progress, which is what this post is! So, here’s what I have accomplished so far this month: Subject Prompt Book I thought I would read Book I actually read Ancient Runes A book with…

    Ordinary Wizarding Levels Read-a-thon ’18

So, I know this technically happened in April of this year, but I have only just found out about it now that people are doing their NEWT read-a-thon, but in order to do the NEWTs, I have to sit the OWLs, so this is why I’m doing OWLs now, and then I’ll do NEWTs in October (I need a 31 day month for this!!). If you have zero idea what I am talking about, let me start from the beginning. I hear it’s a very good place to start. 😂…
