Good morning bookworms!
I’M BAAAAAAAACKK!! (But like, not in that terrifying murder-clown way. Just like, in the normal, ‘hey, it’s been a while, nice to see you’ way!!)
For those of you unaware, that pesky chest infection that took me down is actually pneumonia… and I’ve been at home for what feels like WEEKS binge watching a lot of Miraculous and Critical Role… Try not to analyse this combination too much… So, I guess the update is: I’m still sick and at home, but I’m starting to feel better… and hey, I’m blogging again!!! PLUS I caught up on blog-hopping after a week off… (but i didn’t write a lot of comments because there was over 300 blog posts to read… i’m so sorry!!)
So, let’s do this! Back in June (oh gawd, how am I still 5 months behind on tags…) the gorgeous and sparkly Cassie @ Let’s Get Galactic tagged me in the Sunshine Blogger Award!! I still can’t believe this is my 10th one (and i still have six more to do… whelp)!! If you don’t know Cassie’s blog, then please do go check it out because it is literally (not figuratively) full of rainbows and sunshine, but also books and horror… but it totally works!!

Questions from Cassie
What are your personal favorite type of posts to write (regardless of how much interaction they get)?
Definitely recommendation posts. I am really enjoying writing my Overwatch character recommendations because I get to learn something about the characters as well, and it’s just so different from everything else I do!!
If you hate a book, do you write a blog review for it?
Pffffft… well, I have. But that was kind of an extreme case. Normally I won’t write a review if I don’t like a book, unless it’s a review copy.
Do you have any food allergies?
Not actual allergies, but a lot of intolerances. I have a bowel disease which essentially means the lining of my stomach and intestines can get quick thin at times, so there’s a super long list of foods that can (and will) tear my insides, meaning that I will bleed internally. For instance, did you know that corn kernels do not digest in your stomach – they come out the same way they go in, so I will likely never be able to eat corn (or more to my dismay, POPCORN) ever again. If my insides do get perforated then I go back onto prednisolone, or steroids, until it fixes. And I HATE being on steroids, so it’s easier to just not eat a lot of these things.
What’s your favorite thing about yourself? And your favorite thing about your blog?
For me: I really like my eye colour (I have green eyes) and that I have the complexion to be able to wear dark lipstick colours like black, blue, green and purple!
For my blog: I really love how it is evolving to become really ‘me’. As I learn more about blogging and start showing my creative side, the blog evolves. And sometimes it’s only little things, like new banners or headers, but it’s slowly becoming more and more unique!
What song can you not stop listening to right now?
Honestly I’ve gone back to the early 2000’s and have had Fall Out Boy, The All-American Rejects and Avril Lavigne on high rotation lately!!
If you were a toy that came with 5 accessories, what would yours be?
A book, a cat, interchangeable hair colours (blue, green, purple, red and brunette), a cup of tea, headphones with an iPod or some music device.
What’s your favorite Disney movie?
Hercules!! Although, honestly I’m just here for Hades and Megara…
What’s the last book you read that you didn’t want to end?
American Royals by Katharine McGee. I am HOOKED. I also do not want to wait 12 months for the next one!!
How many books have you read for the year, and where are you at in your reading goal (if you made one) for 2019?
I am currently at 88 books read, and my Goodreads goal is 90!! I could finish this by the end of this month!! (My secret goal is 100 though…)
How far in advance do you write up your blog posts?
???? Uhh, the night before they go live!! The only reason it’s that early is because I schedule them for 8:00am and I am NOT a morning person. So, drafting a post is usually the last thing I do before bed. (Case in point, it’s currently 1:50am on Monday morning…)
What’s your favorite item of clothing? Describe it & tell me why it’s your favorite!
My Ravenclaw pyjama pants. They’re long, but light enough to wear all through summer (rolled up) AND winter (with slippers/socks). I got them from Think Geek (which I believe doesn’t exist any more?!), and I am currently wearing them. I have had them for YEARS… like, at least 6 years. They’re big and comfy and I love them because while they don’t have an eagle on them, they at least don’t have a raven (which is NOT the animal for Ravenclaw!!). I can’t find a picture of them on the internet, but this is from my Instagram feed, and that’s them at the top right!
