September ’18 wrap-up and October TBR

September wrap-up

My reading month was ok for September. I read seven books, but I definitely got distracted by Sophie’s post and then I found Kindle Unlimited and I read way more eBooks than I normally do. So my TBR didn’t really go down… But I still read a some good books so I’m satisfied with my reading pile!

I definitely read more romance this month that I normally do. And there seemed to be a lot more smut than I ever read in a month, but it was ok.

So, my plan for the month was to do reading bingo, which I found on Novel Heartbeat‘s blog. It didn’t really go as planned, probably because there are 25 prompts and I only read 7 books – so I’ve decided to extend it to the remainder of the year. I’ve already got some challenges planned for myself over the Aussie summer break (like my NEWTs), and some challenges for next year as well. So I think this will keep me busy until December!

The original bingo is in my August wrap-up, and I’ve marked off what I read this month below with the covers.

October TBR

I seem to have gone back to my “I’m a mood reader and you can’t tell me what to read” (‘you’ being myself). However, there are so many books coming out in October that I anticipate that I’ll just read all pre-ordered new releases (when they arrive) and that’s probably it for the month.

So, books I anticipate I will read in October:

  • Fence issue 10 by C. S. Pacat
  • Fence issue 11 by C. S. Pacat
  • Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J Maas
  • Catwoman: Soulstealer by Sarah J Maas
  • What If It’s Us by Becky Albertalli and Adam Silvera
  • Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor
  • Muse of Nightmares by Laini Taylor
  • The Lost Sisters by Holly Black
  • The Land I Lost by Cassandra Clare
  • The Spotted Dog by Kerry Greenwood
  • The Caged Queen by Kristen Ciccarelli
  • Warcross by Marie Lu
  • Wildcard by Marie Lu
  • Mort by Terry Pratchett (Discworld read-a-thon)

I also need to spend some serious time finishing all my draft book reviews. I currently have 38 half-completed reviews for you guys… including books I read in January. At this rate, I am going to have to re-read the book to remember what it was about so I can write the review…

Until next time, happy reading! ☺️?
