November 2022 book haul

Hello friends!! Welcome to the November 2022 book haul!! A post where I talk about all the books that I bought and received in the previous month.

You know, November was a pretty good month. I only got five physical books between book boxes and some light online shopping, and four ebooks. And I read all of the ebooks. 🤦‍♀️

In saying that, in 2022 there is no shaming for buying excess than my haul goals. However, my haul goals this year are to only buy books I will read immediately, so that’s a step in the right direction. The main goal for the year, is to buy less books than I read. And I’m trying not to increase my TBR this year. And, as per my now-normal, there is a round up of TBR increase/decrease at the end.

So, let’s go see the books I hauled in November!!

November 2022 book haul

Book haul categories are as follows:

  • book boxes (monthly/quarterly subscription or special edition book boxes)
  • review copies (book mail, digital and gifts)
  • book purchases (book mail, in-store and ebook*)

* Not counting Kindle Unlimited

book boxes

I subscribe to a bunch of book boxes that I usually skip because 2022 is the year of cutting back.

In November, I had two books arrive:

  • The Whispering Dark by Kelly Andrew (Illumicrate YA book only sub for October)
  • These Twisted Bonds by Lexi Ryan (FairyLoot special edition)

As always, photos link through to photo owner’s instagram and show extra details such as sprayed/stenciled edges, custom end pages, naked hardcovers, reversible dust jackets, etc.

review copies

I received zero review books in November!! YAY!! (Not that I’m not extremely grateful for review copies… I just have a lot on my TBR already.)

So… what does this all mean for my book buying limit for 2022? Well, because I apparently can’t count at all, I made a new row on my giant TBR spreadsheet to figure it out for me. So, the numbers now stand at:

  • Commenced 2022 with physical TBR: 457
  • Increased physical TBR in 2022 by: 70
  • Subtotal physical TBR: 527
  • Read physical books: 32
  • Unhauled physical books on my TBR: 39
  • TOTAL PHYSICAL TBR: 456
  • TBR variance: +6

My secret aim is to get my physical unread books down to 400, but I’ll be happy if I can keep it around 450 (which is my real goal)!!

What was in your November 2022 book haul?

until next time, happy reading! Meeghan xo

I need to read an Alexis Hall soon. I have A Lady for a Duke and Something Fabulous – interesting that I have two historical romances (pretty sure they’re romances?) when I am not really a big fan of historical books lol – maybe Hall can help with that. But the Winner Bakes covers are so cute!

I’ve not even heard of A Lady for a Duke, but I DO have Something Fabulous on my kindle. I have been missing my reading time this month. March has been crazy busy. I have so many books and blog posts to catch up on 😭

Let's chat!
