May '19 book haul

Good morning bookworms!

We are getting back to our regularly scheduled content now… Our new normal categories are as follows:

  • book boxes
  • book purchases (book mail, instore and digital)
  • review copies (book mail and digital), and
  • bookish merch (book related, but not actual books)

I subscribe to three monthly boxes: OwlCrate, FairyLoot and the book-only subscription for LitJoy. Here is what arrived in May:

  • Owlcrate’s May theme was Epic Adventures, and the book was We Hunt the Flame by Hafsah Faizal

FairyLoot’s May box is yet to depart the UK, and I suspended my May LitJoy as the book was Nocturna by Maya Motayne, which I received in the April FairyLoot box.

I definitely did more book shopping than I thought I did… the eBooks didn’t help the total either!!

OK, so I am getting more digital copies (thank you Netgalley), so NOW is the time to stop requesting books while I catch up on the ones I have!!

I have a lot of pins now… I bought a BUNCH of bookish pins from Nerdy Post… but I think I packed my camera… so, if I find it, I’ll take some photos… and if I don’t, I’ll try and remember to take photos when we unpack in another 2 weeks…

I don’t buy a ton of print books but ebooks are TERRIBLE for my self-control, budget (even with all those free and discounted titles and ARCs) … holy wow, those are pretty covers and I bet they look amazing together on the shelf 📚
good luck catching up on ARCs! I don’t think I’ve heard much about any of the ones on your list (and I don’t have any of them), but I hope you enjoy them!

Hahaha, the only one that doesn’t look stunning on the shelf (or in the box now…) is the Captive Prince short stories, which is the one I am reading right now. It only came in the post on Thursday (just scraped in) and I am nearly finished!!

Let's chat!
