Wrap-up and TBR banner with a selection of books with red spines

July ’18 wrap-up and August TBR

I don’t know about you guys, but I feel like I’m just adding the same books onto my TBR, and then every month I have to admit that I didn’t read them (again), only to add them again for next month. I’m still kind of reading slump-ishly at the moment. Work is killing me, and I’ve been sick, and winter here is so depressing! I can’t wait for the sun to come back…

July wrap-up

I read more rereads than I normally do this month. This isn’t because I’m running out of books to read. Quite the opposite actually!! I did reread The Cruel Prince quicker than I normally would have because a friend recommended I go read all of the Holly Black Fae books as there are character cross-overs (and it all made the book that much better!). I also reread The Colour of Magic for the Discworld buddy read, so you’ll see at least one each month now as I do this with Nicole and co.

The Darkest Part of the Forest Holly Black Hardback

Iā€™m still waaaaaaay behind on blog posts, but Iā€™m hoping that work will settle down soon and this will improve! Keep your fingers crossed for me!!

August TBR

So, instead of putting another random TBR list up, I implore you to check out my post on the OWL read-a-thon. I know that August is technically the NEWT level test, but I’ll be doing the OWL’s first because I only just found out about them in the last week of July!

Let's chat!
