I Should Have Read That… book tag

Good morning bookworms!
Today I am finally getting around to doing a tag from one of the sweetest bloggers around: Regina @ Bookish in Bed. It’s kind of a self-fulfilling tag, because I really should have done [this] book tag a while ago… ? (see how funny I am?!)
Sorry, my jokes are going nowhere fast, so we should get to the tag before I keep going. (Also, go check out Regina’s blog if you haven’t because it’s really lovely – the aesthetic of being in bed all day really appeals to me!)

Rules
  • Thank the person who tagged you and link back to their post
  • Link to the creator’s blog (booksnest.co.uk) in your post
  • Answer the questions below
  • Tag 10 others to take part
  • ENJOY THE TAG!
A book that a certain friend is always telling you to read

Sofii @ A Book. A Thought. might actually come to Australia and suffocate me if I don’t read Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo soon!! (But in the most loving way possible because Sofii is an angel!)

A book that’s been on your TBR forever and yet you still haven’t picked it up

*cough, cough* Definitely The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern.

A book in a series you’ve started, but haven’t gotten round to finishing yet

Uhhh… The Lotus War trilogy by Jay Kristoff. I started Stormdancer just before LIFEL1K3 came out last year…

A classic you’ve always liked the sound of, but never actually read

Confession time!! I have never actually finished reading The Lord of the Rings by Tolkien. I read most of book one, then gave up. And I’ve never really felt inclined to read it again.

A popular book that it seems everyone but you has read

Umm, like all of them? But, let’s go with Caraval by Stephanie Garber, specifically, because I keep seeing everyone’s reactions to Finale!!

A book that inspired a film/TV adaptation that you really love, but you just haven’t read it yet

I have to go with Dead Poet’s Society by N. H. Kleinbaum for this one. It’s one of my all-time favourite movies, and I own the book, but I’ve just not read it before. (Also, the trailer is a bit rubbish, because the movie is like a million years old, but if you haven’t seen it and you’re a bookworm, then you really do need to watch it. Trigger warnings: suicide.)

A book you see all over Instagram but haven’t picked up yet

The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang. This has just been further identified in my head because Allen and Unwin sent me The Bride Test to review (and I haven’t read TKQ yet)!!
