February 2022 book haul
Hello bookworms!! Welcome to the February 2022 book haul!! A monthly post where I talk about all the books that I hauled in the previous month.
This year, we’re doing things slightly differently. And by ‘differently’ I mean there won’t be any shaming for buying excess than my haul goals. And I did decide to reformat the post…
But also, my haul goals this year are to only buy books I will read immediately, so that’s a step in the right direction. The main goal for the year, is to buy less books than I read. I’m trying not to increase my TBR this year. 😓
So, let’s go see the books I hauled in February!!
February 2022 book haul
Book haul categories are as follows:
- subscription boxes
- book purchases (book mail, in-store and ebook*)
- review copies (book mail, digital and gifts)
* Not counting Kindle Unlimited
I subscribe to a bunch of book boxes that I usually skip because 2022 is the year of cutting back.
And in February, I had NO books arrive, despite my schedule of books that appear to be lost somewhere in a warehouse or flying across the world… The below is what we are waiting for.

I’d just like to say, that I am continuing the year off on the RIGHT foot. For the second month in a row, I kept to my goal!!
In February I bought NO physical books. And only two digital books. I am honestly nailing this, and I am so proud of myself. I’ve even read them both!! 🎉 (Honestly, gold stars all around this month.)
Court by Tracy Wolff
Series: Book 4 of Crave
Released 1 February 2022
Purchased: eBook
No one survived the last battle unscathed. Flint is angry at the world, Jaxon is turning into something I don’t recognize, and Hudson has put up a wall I’m not sure I’ll ever break through.
Now war is coming, and we’re not ready. We’re going to need an army to have any hope of winning. But first, there are questions about my ancestors that need answers. Answers that might just reveal who the real monster is among us. And that’s saying something in a world filled with bloodthirsty vampires, immortal gargoyles, and an ancient battle between two gods.
There’s no guarantee that anyone will be left standing when the dust settles, but if we want to save this world, I have no choice. I’ll have to embrace every part of me… even the parts I fear the most.
The Love Con by Seressia Glass
Released 14 December 2021
Purchased: eBook
Sometimes Kenya Davenport believes she was switched at the hospital ― how else could a lover of anime, gaming, and cosplay come from STEM parents? Still, Kenya dreams of being able to turn her creative hobby into a career. She finally has a chance to make it big when she joins the reality show competition Cosplay or No Way.
There’s just one catch: the challenge for the final round is all about iconic pairs, and the judges want the contestants’ significant others to participate. Unfortunately, Kenya is as single as can be at the moment. Luckily her best friend, Cameron Lassiter, agrees to be her fake boyfriend for the show.
Roleplaying a couple in love will force them to explore what they’re hiding under the mask of friendship. Can Kenya and Cam fake it until she makes it, or will she be real about her feelings, knowing it could cost her the best friend she’s ever had?
I thought I might make it through 2022 with no review books, but that isn’t the case. Although, based on the below, I am very NOT mad about it!!
