February '19 wrap-up and March TBR
Good morning bookworms!
It’s unbelievable to me that it’s actually 2019. It’s even more unbelievable that we have less than 10 months left of this year. (9 months and 30 days as I write this!)
February wrap-up
I had a pretty good reading month, despite having to go back to work this month. I am definitely in a holiday hangover, and it has been ROUGH!!
I read 9 books, and I’m pretty happy with this! In fact, at this rate, I will be hitting my goal of 90 pretty quickly, and next year I can aim for 100!! Although, I am also preparing for my mid-year slump…

Top reads go to the All For the Game trilogy (I would have re-rated them all 100 stars after finishing The King’s Men if that was a thing) and Wundersmith: The Calling of Morrigan Crow. ALL FIVE STARS (and so many tears for the first trilogy).
March TBR
So, I read 6 of my intended 8 during February – which is AMAZING. Mostly because I never stick to my TBR because there’s something shiny over there! OMG! Look at that!
Uhhh… oh yeah. But there’s a couple of things I do want to read this month (mostly ARCs) and I’m really enjoying my little contemporary splurge at the moment.
- Emergency Contact – Mark H. K. Choi (current read)
- The Boy Who Steals Houses – C.G. Drews (ARC)
- DEV1AT3 – Jay Kristoff (ARC)
- Lola and the Boy Next Door – Stephanie Perkins
- The Hating Game – Sally Thorne
- The Girl with the Whispering Shadow – D.E. Night
- The Falconer – Elizabeth May
- Guards! Guards! – Terry Pratchett
*cough* You may have noticed that The Gilded Wolves and Coraline have dropped off my list. It’s not that I won’t read them – it’s just that if something stays on my TBR for too long, I develop this weird kind of ‘anti-ness’ to it, and then I lose all interest in reading it. So I’m trying to do this thing where if I didn’t read it that month, then I forget that I had it on my TBR and then I will (hopefully) want to read it next time I pop it on! Basically I’m attempting to see if I can lie to myself. (I’m sorry, I know I’m really strange…)
The challenge wrap-up post will be along in a couple of days after I do sums and what-not…
Until next time, happy reading! ??

Beware Of The Reader
You had a really great month Meeghan! And fancy you are talking about that anti-ness because I have the same reaction! Now I can’t wait to see how many stars you’ll give to Dev1at3!!!!

I know!! I’m definitely reading it soon!!

dang, look at all those 4+ star reviews!!! so glad to see you had a good reading month ? and yay for reading the books you actually intended to, that’s definitely still something I struggle with too, haha. I think your idea of kind of taking a “break” from having books on your TBR to let yourself (hopefully) get re-excited about them makes sense – I hope it works for you!

Thanks Isabelle!! I’m hoping it works too! ?

Two 5 star books in a month, that is awesome! I have heard good things about the hating game, I hope you enjoy it as well as the others.
