Bookending Autumn: Every Witch Needs a Familiar

Good evening bookworms!
Yes… this is still going!! AND I created a new tab!! (Because I really couldn’t figure out where to put them…)

This post is part of Bookending Autumn 2019, which is organized by Sam & Clo! The prompt for today, “Every Witch Needs a Familiar” is hosted by Jamsu @ Jamsu Dreams! If you want to do this prompt, please don’t forget to link back to Jamsu’s post!
Prompt Explanation: If you were a witch which magical creatures would you want as your familiar?

Ooooh, I would totally have a cat familiar as a witch!! And to be perfectly honest, it would likely be one of my MAGICAL kitties (I have three… one is grey and two are black, and yes, they are magical)!

So, let me introduce my babies and then we can decide which one would be best!
Firstly, there’s Cat. (Yes, creative I know, wait until you hear the other two’s names.) She’s the oldest at eight years this December. She’s kind of snarky, doesn’t really like the other two, but she’s also a total sook. She likes lap-time, toothpaste (yes, I once caught her chewing on a toothbrush) and the smell of bleach (look, my cats are weird, ok). And surprisingly, she’s the most normal of the three. Cat can also play fetch and she likes to sleep on top of my feet.

Next up is Kitten. She’s the middle child and just turned six in August. She’s also a demon cat and constantly riling the other two up and then disappearing when the fighting starts. She only drinks hot water (if you give her cold water she splashes in on the ground) and magically appears whenever there is food. She’s also an escape artist, excellent at opening closed doors, and being naughty wherever she’s not supposed to be. She’s also the least affectionate of the three so whenever she comes for snuggles you know she’s either hungry or feeling nice (which is rare)!

And finally, we have the baby of the family, Fluffy. Just turned four in June, he is the biggest sook you will ever meet: you only have to hover your hand over him and he starts to purr. He likes love, cuddles, and trying to claw his way into your skin to get closer to you. Fluff is also not very good at being a cat. He doesn’t know how to retract his claws and he is hideously clumsy (I have watched him fall off more things than he has landed on). But he’s also very sweet and adorable, so long as you don’t need too much sleep – because he likes to sleep with his cold, wet nose pressed into your neck, while laying over your shoulder.

So, three worthy possibilities…

I guess if I have to choose one, then I should make the sensible pick. I choose a dragon, and just keep these three as house cats!!

What would you choose as your familiar?!
