Bookending Autumn '19 and Tidyathon Goals

Good morning bookworms!

I have had a very busy week, well month really! It has been full of travel and planning days (for work) and then a migraine… so, I haven’t been around much. However, all this is about to change. Because…

I’M ONE OF THE HOSTS FOR BOOKENDING AUTUMN!!

Clo @ Cuppa Clo and Sam @ Fictionally Sam run this each quarter, and I had so much fun taking part in Bookending Summer a couple of months back, that I thought I would throw my hat in the ring and applied to be a host. And now I am!
So, what this means for me: In October there will be some days where you get a double post for me. Yep, I’m going to host my four days, and also join in on as many of the other’s post prompts as possible… while still (somehow) keeping my normal schedule. Prepare for chaos and disaster my friends – but also a really fun month!!
What this means for you: Well, you can join us!! If you click on the link above, it will take you to a sign up sheet, and you can come do the prompts as well!! The prompts for each day are listed, but the only real rule is that you can’t post your blog post until the host for each day does, and then you link back to them!! Simples!! (There are more rules… they’re listed on Sam’s website but that’s the main one.)

Bookending Autumn ’19

So, it’s not just me, there are a number of hosts, and this is the list of who they are and what each day will be!

Tidyathon Goals

Now, because I am an absolute SUCKER for punishment, I also have some tidyathon goals. However, I’m starting them this weekend because for the first time in forever, I have no plans (with the exception of some more furniture being delivered today).

  • Catch up on blog-hopping (how do I always let it get so out of control?!)
  • Update spreadsheets
  • Transfer reviews to Goodreads and other sites
  • Submit the rest of the outstanding Beat-the-Backlist books for Ravenclaw
  • Update blog schedule
  • Reorganise books from rainbow shelves to something that (while aesthetically pleasing) doesn’t make you want to scream when you get new books
  • Update old blog posts with new headers (maybe fix old ratings to new 5 star version?)
  • Update review policy and ratings
  • Sort all the book merch you have just shoved into boxes and drawers and on shelves

I won’t be doing EVERY day of the month, but I do plan on doing a LOT of them. If you’re interested in seeing what posts are out there (you don’t have to do them on the day of the prompt, just so long as it’s after the prompt host has posted), then Sam and Clo have created a master spreadsheet to track everyone, which you can see here: Blog Hopping Master List!

I do hope you join us!
