BE Winter ’19: Ways a Villain Could Ruin the Holidays

Good evening bookworms!

You all thought I forgot that I signed up for BE Winter, didn’t you?! Well, you’re probably right. I kept thinking to myself “there’s something that I meant to post this month…” and I just couldn’t remember. But then when I started to catch up on blog-hopping and I was seeing all the posts, that still didn’t remind me. In fact, it was only when I went to look at the master list yesterday that I remembered… after seeing my own name!!

This post is part of Bookending Winter 2019, which is organized by Sam & Clo! Today’s post, “Ways a Villain Could Ruin the Holidays” is hosted by Sophia @ Bookwyrming Thoughts! If you want to do this prompt, please don’t forget to link back to Sophia’s post!

Prompt Explanation: What villains do you want to find in your stocking or don’t! What would you do with them?

Between Soph and Ruby we’ve got a whole bunch of villains ruining things all over the place… so here’s what I’m glad they didn’t ruin at my house!

No more trees!

This one is probably a long-term plan because trees take YEARS to grow!! If the villains get the trees this year, then who knows how long it would take to get new ones ready for us each year?! Hopefully the Christmas tree farmers have plans in place for this one!!

Black-out!

If there’s a black-out then there’s no Christmas lights, all the goods in the fridge could be destroyed and my oven wouldn’t turn on!! We’d need to get solar powered lights, lots of ice, back-up generators, and maybe some gas ovens or BBQs so this one doesn’t hurt us!!

Steal the mail!

What happened if you never got any Christmas cards from your friends or family? What if none of the items you ordered for other people never came? What if all the presents sent to you never arrived?! Well, I imagine it would be a pretty sad Christmas… best to spend lots of time with your loved ones to combat this!!

Fast forward time!

What happened if you woke up on Christmas Day, but it was the 6th of January?! The first Monday after New Years is usually when I’m heading back to work, which means I’d have missed the WHOLE HOLIDAY period!! Worst break ever!!

Santa…?!

You know what’s a pretty common villain antic? Kidnapping!! What if Santa and the reindeer were kidnapped on their way to New Zealand?! NO ONE gets presents!! Honestly, I’m so glad this one didn’t happen this year, but now I’m worried I’ve given them all ideas for next year!!

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday, whether you celebrated anything or not.

What would you not want villains to do this time of year?
