WWW Wednesday – 1 May 2019

Good morning bookworms!

Welcome to this week’s WWW Wednesday! What is this, you ask? Well, it’s a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words. All you have to do is answer the three following questions:

  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

So, without further ado, let’s get started!

What I recently finished reading…

I’ve also not been updating my Goodreads or my reading spreadsheet… so I had to wander around my house thinking “what the hell did I read this week?” Let me tell you, it did NOT help that three of these are digital copies.

  • Princess Ninjas – Dave Franchini (ARC)
  • Sorry I’m Late, I Didn’t Want to Come – Jessica Pan (ARC)
  • The Princess and the Fangirl – Ashley Poston
  • All That Compels the Heart – Erin Bowlen (review copy)
What I am currently reading…

Actually, what I’m reading at the moment is a TOP SECRET BETA READ SEQUEL. So I can’t tell you. Otherwise I might get killed out of jealousy. But, soon my friends, soon…

What I think I’ll read next…

OK, I’ve got a few review copies due this month, so I’ll be playing catch up for a little bit. PLUS, I went to the Aurora Rising book launch in Melbourne last night (hence why this post is about 11 hours late…) and it’s on my pile of immediate reads as well!

  • Small Kingdoms and Other Stories – Charlaine Harris (NetGalley)
  • StepSister – Jennifer Donnelly (Hot Key)
  • We Are Blood and Thunder – Kesia Lupo (Bloomsbury)
  • Aurora Rising – Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff

Until next time, happy reading! 😊📚

  1. ah I’ve seen Sorry I’m Late around and honestly the title alone has me sold! Aurora Rising has been so hyped and I’m already impatient for my library hold to come in. the cover art for Princess Ninjas is gorgeous, though yeah idt I’ll be picking it up, just got too much else I need to read. but oooooooooh secrets secrets … can’t wait to find out 👀

I’m doing Asian Lit Bingo this month so that’s what I’ll be reading – hopefully some of them will work for my backlist epic bingo too! so many reading challenges, so little time 😅

      1. honestly I feel like that’s one of the main reasons I like ARCs – sometimes I can get in before the hype or negativity starts and form my own opinions without feeling guilty or pressured 🤔 alternatively, other times I just wait years until the hype has kind of moved on 😅

    1. It’s not a PaperFury book (OMG I WISH!!) and it DOES have a publishing deal, so I will be able to talk about it (hopefully) soon.
The book launch was amazing (as per usual). Jay and Amie are seriously just lovely humans.
And I have to get to StepSister soon!! I haven’t read anything by Jennifer Donnelly before so I’m kind of excited!!
