March ’19 book haul

Good morning bookworms!

As per normal, we are splitting this into three sections: book boxes, book mail (online purchases that arrived), and book purchases (ebooks and in-store).

Unfortunately (for my bank account) my mini slump did not cross over into the purchasing of books… I bought a lot this month. I apologise in advance for that if anyone is frustrated by my spending. I can only say that I’m in my 30’s and have a well paying job. I do run giveaways on my Instagram twice per year to share the love. And please remember that not buying books doesn’t make you less of a bookworm.

March book boxes

I subscribe to three monthly boxes: OwlCrate, FairyLoot and the book-only subscription for LitJoy. Here is what arrived in March:

  • Owlcrate’s March theme was Murder and Mayhem, and the book was Four Dead Queens by Astrid Scholte
  • LitJoy’s February theme was Viva Le Magic, and contained Enchantée by Gita Trelease
  • FairyLoot’s February box was themed Beauty and the Beast, and contained A Curse So Dark and Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer

Unfortunately I am still waiting on the March LitJoy and FairyLoot boxes, so they will be in next month’s wrap up!

March book mail

So … basically I got a lot of books this month. I’m not even really sure how it happened. Except that I had a couple of big splurges (Book Depository had a sale on all wishlist items) and then I just got book mail almost all month… Sorry Mr Postman!!

  • The Belles by Dhonielle Clayton
  • Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman

March book purchases

In terms of physical book purchases, I did have a mini shopping spree when we went to visit friends and family. Actually, we went to look at an apartment we are buying, and saw friends and family on the same trip. So, yes, I went book shopping. (What? I wasn’t at my suitcase limit!)

  • The Disasters by M. K. England
  • Letters to the Lost by Brigid Kemmerer
  • I was Born for This by Alice Oseman
  • The Story of King Arthur and his Knights (B&N Leatherbound edition) by Howard Pyle
