Good morning bookworms!
It’s a quick one for you today!! The gorgeous Charvi has tagged me in this! Thanks lovely! And if YOU haven’t already, go check out her super fun blog: Not Just Fiction.
I love playing this on Instagram. A friend of mine, Chessca, always does this really well, but sometimes I think I’m just not creative enough to come up with a really good lie!! But, now I’m putting myself to the test…
Rules
- Create a post with your two bookish truths and one bookish lie – but be sure to keep it a secret so your readers can guess
- Reveal the lie in a spoiler at the bottom of your post (you can use this HTML code: <details><Summary>Reveal the Lie</Summary>PUT YOUR LIE IN HERE!</details>)
- Tag 8 friends to play along
- Link back to the original post (Kaleena wants to see ALL of your secrets)
My two truths and the lie
Can you pick which one is not true?? Show me your guesses below in the comments before you come back to check the answer!!
- I often buy an entire series before even reading the first book.
- I own three copies of The Hobbit.
- Wuthering Heights is one of my most hated books.
Reveal the Lie
The lie is number TWO! I only own one copy of The Hobbit, and it’s the copy my mum was given when she was 12.

I’ll choose the second as the lie, I think lol. And the first one is me… every time 😂

aha I guessed #2! 🎉 I absolutely agree that Wuthering Heights is overhyped, but I don’t do #1 just because I don’t really buy books, but if I did I’d probably read at least the first book to make sure I’ll actually want to finish the series haha. though it might help me actually finish series, instead of falling in love with the first one then forgetting all about the series for years 😅

Most of the books I buy are from people who understand my reading and recommend me everything. Also, I hate starting a series and then not having the next book because WHAT IF THERE’S A CLIFFHANGER?! 😱😭

It was the abusive relationship I couldn’t stand. I don’t think that was love that they felt – more like competition and jealousy… I don’t know, I prefer my love to be kinder?

I definitely thought your lie was true, but the one copy you have sounds so special! ❤

Haha, I definitely tried to pick the most outlandish truths that I could think of. (It’s genuinely scary how many full series I have on my shelves that I have not even started…)

I am laughing because I also have the same issue with #1. Guessed the lie, go me!
